This is more of a vent post, so if you don't care for those, feel free to skip to the last paragraph.
If you don't know, Nintendo decided to throw their weight around again, and this time they're taking down anything related to them on the Gmod workshop. And, I mean, of course they are. It's clear at this point that Nintendo doesn't want people having fun with their games and IPs in ways they don't want, if the Smash tournament rules and the DMCA of AM2R and romhack videos didn't make it obvious.
This is bigger than them just being mean, though; they've actively hurt fan artists doing this, and I can prove it. When I started out, before I even drew anything, I did some personal stuff with Pokemon models in Gmod. Once I got frustrated with how limiting Gmod is, THEN I started drawing. Had those models not been available, I may well have never become an artist. Too bad though, daddy Nintendo says we're not allowed to play with our toys in that way any more, and they only took close to 2 decades to say it. Yes, we know we're slaves to the copyright laws of a country we're not in, now PLEASE stop stomping on people's love for your games.
So, with all that in mind, I've made a decision. Out of both spite and remembrance, I'll be posting some Gmod work over the next 7 days (including today), and I'll end that off with something special I was originally saving for my next anniversary. If you've read this whole thing, you'll probably have an idea of what that is.
