If you remember my last journal, 2016 started badly and only got worse.After the whole business with my car, my dad was having severe back pains, he went to the hospital and they discovered a fractured vertebrae. They also discovered a Non Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was put in back brace and underwent immune-therapy for the lymphoma.
In 2017 he was healing well, so things at home were OK. At work, not so great...I worked in the print shop of the local school system which was located on the campus of a high school (after being moved from a location which wasn't on a campus. I moved but hated it) . A new principal took over and we had to have the shop repainted-A Major Hassle that disrupted everything. Later on, the new principal and a bunch of suits do a walk-through of our department. Whenever "Suits" show up you know BULLSHIT immediately follows. Rumors of moving the Print Shop immediately started, but I was "assured" by my supervisor that we wouldn't move. Fast Forward to August...I am told we are going to be moved, they don't know when. If that wasn't bad enough the local comic book shop closes down.(a very traumatic event for me)
2018 arrives and my Dad is hospitalized after suffering congestive heart failure. That's when the assholes running the school system decide to move the print shop ( which has been in the same location for over 20 years). I told my supervisor I would move one more time... but This would be the Last time I would move, be it 5 miles or 5 feet. The new location is in the WORST part of town, but the building itself is pretty nice and I get to have my own office.
