At approximately 6:35 PM Pacific Standard Time, my father passed away at the age of 65 after losing a long, year-and-a-half long battle with malignant melanoma and having been in at-home hospice care since mid January. We had a feeling that today was going to be his last, so for most of today, we made sure he was comfortable and played him Pink Floyd's "Momentary Lapse of Reason"(one of his favorite albums) until it was time for him to go.
He leaves behind a loving wife and two sons who miss him already.
Rest in Peace Randal Cooper: January 11th 1957 - March 23rd 2022
*The song that played in his final moments was High Hopes, his favorite song from that particular album. I prefer to think that was god trying to say that everything would be alright:
