Sometimes people make the mistake with sending money, that they send the wrong curency.
If you send money over paypal or similar make sure that it reads something like:
You send: (your or wished curency) - Person recieves: (wished currency)
That way the money get a lower exchange rate or no exchange rate at all.
Example. I want 10 USD. you send 10 USD, but since I live in Europe I get Euro, so I don't get 10 USD, but only 7 EUR.
Please allways make sure that you changed the currency. You can have on paypal different currencys like USD, Eur, Lir aso.
The wished currency must read on the recievers account. not yours.
Example you live in Europe. Reciever too. That way it may happen, that the exchange rate can be higher, since they first change from EUR to USD and back to EUR
