What are some of your favorite Sonic couples? And why do you like them?

I want to practice some cute/romantic drawings and am looking for inspiration. :)

Hi, my Otp is Sonadow/Shadonic.
And I like it because I love the rival/friend dynamic... they always fight, but deep down they take care of each other and together they solve the situation.
We know that Sonic always try to involve Shadow in evereything he did, so for me is natural that in the long run Shadow gets attached.
And here comes the romantic part.
I like to think that the platonic moments (the pauses between their fights, the friendy conversations, and when they save each other) we see in the series are something more than simply friendship.
With the same dynamic (but with less drama) I ship Knuxuge (Knuckles/Rouge I don't remember the ship name).
Rouge is DA QUEEN! and Knuckles better knows it.
Than with the dynamic Enemy to Lovers, Mephilver. Silver is the cinnamon roll that can melt the hardest of hearts.
And last but not least reacently I began to have polyamory ships whit Sonadow base and another hedgehogs like: Sonic/Shadow/Silver and Sonic/Shadow/Amy. (Depends on the mood and if I want Amy in a relationship with Blaze or others)

My OTP is Sonadow as well lol I could go on all day about why I love their dynamic.

These other ones you mentioned are good as well. Knuxouge as you said is another one I think is very fun. :)

Sonic and Knuckles has been my favorite for ages; beyond having a nice contrast, color-wise, personality-wise, and power wise, they seem like they'd be a great match. Sonic could help Knuckles loosen up, and ease some of his loneliness on Angel Island, so he's not stuck up there all the time. I can see Knuckles being envious of Sonic's freedom (which I love how Frontiers addressed that, after years of seeing it only used in fanfiction lol) and Sonic coming by to see him giving him a taste of that freedom. Hanging out with Sonic seems to be the only reason Knuckles leaves Angel Island of his own accord as well. A lot of people seem to let their powers with Chaos energy be forgotten about... but Knuckles controls the Master Emerald, and is capable of literally punching the Chaos Emeralds out of Super Sonic, so they are fairly balanced together in power, because Sonic can't really bring his full power to bear on Knuckles because Knuckles can cancel it out and bring him back down to normal. I also like the hot headed and occasionally grumpy attitude of Knuckles paired with Sonic's more carefree and teasing one heh.

Another one I tend to like is Sonic and Mighty (must have a thing for Sonic with the 'muscle' characters lol). The two of them seem quite alike actually, both enjoying traveling around all over, and being very friendly and carefree. I can see the two of them traveling together on a small adventure or something heh.

Yeah, I love what Frontiers did with Sonic and Knuckles’ relationship. I never quite saw why this ship is popular, but you explained it very well.

I remember many years ago I had a thing for Shadow/Cream, as to the why part I can't exactly recall, lol. Mainly because it was during the SAdv2/SA2B era when Shadow was still then-new character and he was extremely popular in the fandom (Shadow/Amy being the rage back then), and I've always liked Cream's design when SAdv2 came out so naturally she gets paired with Shadow for me.

I also have a smaller thing for Tikal/Chaos0, tho this is more due to complementing my more deeper fetish of barefoot (when Tikal is usually depicted with furry 3-toed paws or sonic "block foot" style) and tentacles (Chaos0 being the shapeshifting type)

I do think Shadow and Cream could get along. His drive to protect others and her sweet and innocent nature would mesh well.
