The Auld Wang Syne (Final Journal Entry)

Dear friends and watchers of all classes, welcome to 2023 - It has been a rough time for us all, what with the world changing its shape from mediocre to outright negative things. But as they say, after a rainstorm comes a rainbow, and not all of us were lucky enough to grab some magical essence.

This year marks the end of many things for me personally: The end of a youthful era, the end of acquaintances, life circumstances, and some nasty teeth that had to be pulled over long time. Such lasting adventures as student loans (Paid off in January), starting back pains and temporal burnouts (office job 8 years), switching into the working sector again while maintaining a Patreon, and other little things can wear a man/woman out.

But while it sounds awfully pessimistic, things are looking bright for the future. It comes with a bittersweet note, as I must cut ties to certain things, in order to let new ones flourish; I am hereby ending all pending commissions/trades/etc on inkbunny and will only submit Patreon-free content and occasional passional artwork. While many of us weren't so lucky as to pinpoint their end of the mast, Me and some others certainly are and would like to thank EACH and EVERY ONE of you, for ALL of your support!

No matter who you are, no matter if we had some history together or not, and not all things are fully digested, but as it stands, I cannot deny that some things had to happen to develop a better future. One where I can tend to my earthly simian needs in a peaceful manner and still do what I never stopped loving: Drawing!

Coincidentally, this year also marks the 25th Anniversary of BANJO-KAZOOIE, a game series I've loved ever since it came out. The grand adventure of the bear and bird blew my 10 year old mind back then, and I'd like to take the opportunity to pay a Dreamrifle-esque tribute to it: BANJO-KAZOOIE: Scarred 'N Feathered is an original story I'll be developing with my partner
SashimiPOP
SashimiPOP
, based on OCs and a storyline by a trio of anonymous artists (Anonimity requested, we refer only to source material.), I have personally invested a hefty sum in buying the sequel rights for a 20+ comic adventure caked with mystery, nsfw, sins of the past, RARE-typical humour and an original plotline. For the Bear & Bird, I shall go the extra mile and shouldn't be afraid of investment.

The comic linked in the description will definitely not meet everybody's tastes, that's why we took the footnotes and inspiration to create something more pleasantly different in tone. As an artist, one can stand fully behind their project, or starve trying.

It'll be posted as teasers here, and as a year-long passion project, it's open to Patrons of all classes, starting with "Luck for A Buck". Everyone who follows can decide for themselves how much they want to throw into the honeypot, and keep the memories of BK alive along with us!

So yes, dear friends and watchers, we are all but pawns in a huge game of time. But *how* we invest that time will determine how well it's paid back~ Fear not, this is not a definite farewell - As you've read above, I'll be throwing bones here and there, and I wish you all a wonderful time on this site!

In a nutshell: I'll stick to Patreon but release public content and maybe some inspired pieces here and there. Time will tell~

Thank you very much~ It's a bit hard to let go of a few things, but necessary to let new things in and keep the motivation. Kind regards back~
