my apologies!! i use postybirb, so my posts all use the same tags from site to site... not ideal, especially with pillowfort in the mix as it turns any special characters (/ & etc) into nonsense.
i post my favourite pieces to e621 (also got some old art on there) where i'm an absolute maniac with the tags, so perhaps i need to take more of that kind of approach here, too? would mean i get more use out of the features, as well... i don't even know what pools are as it currently stands. i'll have to have a play around.
