I previously decided to reduce the number of accounts where I regularly posted because it is simply too much work to stay active on all of them.
But, sadly, the internet has changed a lot since then. Social media in general seems like it's collapsing, and other sites are changing policies that either hit directly artists or make it easier to be banned for the smallest reason. The worries of not knowing what will happen to my work online as an artist are real.
So I decided to ask a friend to help me keep this account alive, by posting regularly once more. But I may not be able to reply to private messages or comments personally either. It could easily take me months to log in again and check potential messages left by anyone.
In consequence, I ask you please, that if you have an urgent need to contact me, please try instead through my most used accounts at Furaffinity, Deviantart, Twitter, or even Patreon.
I also leave here an open invitation to my Discord channel where I'm logged in almost every weekday and you could reach me immediately: https://discord.gg/M6sJ2XTZFF
Glad to see it at least. Sadly I have left Furaffinity recently (they unjustly decided Poke'mon = children), I left Deviantart a while ago (AI scrape fiasco), and I am in the process of LEAVING patreon! (Invasion of privacy).
Twitter is now our only shared platform and for how long who knows. haha

Yeah I left FA some time ago myself before they started the whole pokemon fiasco. I knew they'd do that too because of what they did at the cub ban..where they banned anyone with sonic character artwork. The whole "proportions" argument they gave back then.

Somehow, and I joke noteth, I totally missed that whole thing when it happened. I was at the time VERY buried in the Brony fandom so that may have kept me thoroughly distracted.

Oh I totally understand. I tend to notice alot of things personally. And sometimes when "drama" catches my attention I can guess what may happen next. Then there are times I'm totally oblivious due to my own interests...like my obsession with anime lol.

Yeah, that's how it has been in general. I don't think I can afford to lose any of those sites personally, but I am certainly keeping all my options open because nobody knows when the owner of the site decides they hate you and kick you out.
Guess we're all going to return to the times when everyone had to have their own website x_x
Just in case, I'm keeping Instagram and Bluesky too as options in case ex-twitter crashes XD

With Web 3.0 looming I genuinely believe a counter-internet (neo 1.0 if you will) is coming as well since those of us over 35 are a much bigger crowd than the media moguls think. They seem to be stuck in this idea that Millennials are still 20 forever which baffles me. Web 2.0 is heading for corpo graveyard land because of that "endless growth" model of "totally not a Monopoly, guys" companies.
In short, I think you are mostly correct about independent sites coming back. However, Misskey and Itaku are promising new hubs to keep us all hinged together under the current of the mainstream!

I have seen other artists use the program PostyBirb. Not sure if there are costs, at a glance it looks like it might be a free program that relies on donations. It helps you post across multiple platforms. Not sure if it does what you need, I have zero experience with it other than seeing it tagged when it helps artists cross-post their artwork. I hope it can help you!
