I haven't received a flood of notifications, though. I guess when you unmark something without replacing it with new image, IB doesn't send out a new notification.

What basically happens is this: * Whether you get any notification depends on whether you are watching them at the first time they make the submission visible to anyone including friends-only * If it is friends-only work it is filtered out on the server at the displaying phase * If you subsequently become their friend you will see the notifications, but if you don't clear them then they will be behind more recent ones * The notification will expire as normal after six months
