This all happened because the owner cut our hours at (shop a), and I wanted to make sure (best friend) could feed his kids.
I can kinda see him letting me go at (shop a), but firing the literal cornerstone of (shop b) because the manager at (shop a) didn't communicate what was happening in the store she was supposed to be in charge of to (owner) .
And, I assumed she approved it because she never drought it up again over the whole 10 days since I told her.
And my exact words to her were "I'm going to ask if (owner) is planning on giving us a pay increase with this new schedule and if he doesn't I'm going to give my hours to (best friend) because its not worth it to work here for only 12 hours" And the same day I asked (owner) if there was going to be an increase and he ignored me until tonight where he told me asking about raises is extortion
