My big brother has Sickle Cell. And he's currently on Dialysis. I'm supposed to be watching over him while my parents are away in Ecuador. However, over the past few days, he's been feeling pain in his abdomen. And he's barely being eating, if at all. He's slept through the pain for most of yesterday.
When he couldn't take the pain anymore, I called a Lyft to have us dropped off at the ER. After enough time passed at the hospital, he was ready to be moved the main hospital. Right after that, my brother sent me home.
Not too long ago, my mother received a call from the hospital. My brother is currently in the ICU for heart surgery. All I can ask is that everyone keeps him in their prayers.
Update: The heart surgery was a success. But there were issues. That's all I know for now. I need to make sure he make sure he takes his Dialysis every day.
