Cancellation hasn't worked in over 500 years

In every era, the emergence of a new system of innovation brings about a wave of resistance from the established order. This resistance is driven by a deep-rooted fear of change and a desire to maintain the status quo. The old system, which has thrived for years, feels threatened by the potential loss of profit and power that the new system represents. It is a tale as old as time, fueled by a combination of greed and a reluctance to adapt.

One of the key factors that perpetuates this vicious cycle is copyright. Originally introduced by Queen Mary of England, copyright was a tool used to suppress the spread of Protestant writings and maintain the dominance of Catholicism. Fast forward to the present day, and we see a similar pattern repeating itself. Fan artists, who have long held sway over the art world, are now facing the rise of AI art. This new form of artistic expression, which makes it easy for anyone to create professional art, poses a direct threat to their established system, leading to attempts to cancel and discredit it.

However, history has shown us time and again that the old system is destined to fail and new systems ultimately bring about greater benefits for society. Over the course of 500 years, countless innovations have disrupted established norms and brought about significant progress. Despite initial resistance, these new systems have ultimately proven to be more beneficial for society as a whole. They have revolutionized industries, improved efficiency, and opened up new avenues for creativity and expression. The old system may fight tooth and nail to preserve its dominance, but in the end, it cannot withstand the tide of progress.

In conclusion, the age-old cycle of resistance to new systems of innovation is driven by a combination of fear, greed, and a reluctance to adapt. Copyright, originally used as a means of control, continues to play a role in perpetuating this cycle. However, in the end, the new always replaces the old. As we navigate the ever-changing landscape of innovation, it is important to recognize the potential of new systems and embrace the opportunities they present.

The following article will give a more detailed account about how this cycle has occurred for over five centuries: https://odysee.com/@888Collective:3/The_Case_for_Copyri...

I'm gonna have to disagree. Don't get me wrong, I like stuff like AI presidents on YouTube, but AI shouldn't be used to make art.
