I started feeling gross a few days ago with your usual cough and runny nose etc and took a covid test to be sure, but it was negative. The day after that it was a little worse, my eyes hurt but I figured it was probably just tension or something, you know?

Nah, they started to get real red and hurt and runny and I went to the dr this morning and found out I have viral conjunctivitis :D

I have eye drops to help get rid of it but for the moment I'm probably not going to be working on any art, to save from any unnecessary stress.

Yeep, I heard that getting VC is super common amongst us glasses wearers, I got it for about a month in elementary school when I got new glasses and they assumed it was styes, it was in fact VC >_>;; they gave mr a thick salve to put on it and it fixed it in about a week in combination with eye drops

Keep your nose pads clean, don't only use your shirt to clean your glasses, make sure when you handle them you wash your hands, and the other thing my optometrist told me was make sure to steam your lenses once in a while, not a strong steam but like the steam from hot water from a shower or your kitchen sink can work

I have been doing that and only caught it once since, but I was at the rodeo for like 3 days in a row and assume it came from incessantly using my shirt to clean my glasses when around the animals

It's so weird, I have never had it till now, not even when I was a kid. I almost feel embarrassed about it! lol

I read your other comment, too, I've def been trying to keep everything as clean as possible-I have a dedicated glasses cloth that I use for my glasses that we wash with the laundry so at least on that I'm good. I like to give my glasses a wipe down every once in a while with an alcohol wipe (not the lenses tho.) Hoping this is a one and done sort of thing, no idea where it popped up from.

We've been joking that one of the cats farted on my eyes or it's from their intense nasty shits they take lmao

It's almost completely gone, tho! My eyes aren't puffy anymore and are just pink, not RED. They're all crusty tho cause I was rubbing them so much early on ;w;

Cat farts are so toxic and kittens are little gas chambers, the one thing I wont miss about having kittens around was their toxic butt fumes, I called them "shittens" after a while because of it, and ever since I pointed out that all kittens smell like butt my husband cant help but notice it when we go to.cat cafes lol

Yeah, Brutus was like that when we first got him as a kitten, he was sooooo gross and stinky. Mikey, our older boy, doesn't stink but when he yawns? WATCH OUT. That shit is VILE.
