IB has removed all of my AI art.  

A few weeks ago, a friend recommended I open an account on Deviant Art, and I have.  I've posted some of my old art from IB and some new stuff.

The reason given for the removal is that Bing Image Creator is a closed AI generator.  Apparently, this is relevant even though BIC is free and available to the public.

Hopefully, IB will change this rule.  AI art was the reason why I joined in the first place.

I'm so sorry to hear that.
They will find any excuse to take down AI stuff.

...I use Photoshop to edit my stuff. Photoshop isn't free. That probably means I'm going byebye too sometime soon, just wait and see.

Yeah, the new version of the list will explicitly include OpenAI DALL-E 3 (ChatGPT / Copilot / Bing Image Creator / Microsoft Designer), Meta Imagine and Google Imagen (Gemini) as disallowed services. It doesn't look like the administration is open to discussion of allowing them in any shape or form, sadly. 😟

Both Bracken and I are on DA.  I've gotten more views and watches in a few days on DA than I have in 16 months on IB.  DA allows AI 100% without any restrictions.  DA also doesn't require any generation data.

It's a pity really that DALL-E 3 isn't allowed. It's infinitely more accessible to the general public than SD XL, while also being better. It isn't open-source, of course, but I'm totally sure Microsoft is operating it at huge loss by allowing people to generate 400 images daily at no cost. 😆

I don't understand IB's reasoning.  Someone could create something with a banned AI copy and paste some fake SD generation info. IB would have no way to tell unless they tested every single image, which I assume they don't have the staff to do.

All they're doing is punishing the honest people.

It's indeed a pity that we lose access to prompts for generating images using non-open-source tools. Sometimes prompts can be pretty creative. 😁

Their plan is that vast majority of people would obey the rules and the rest will be noticed by volunteers and some sort of dedicated verifiers or something. I don't think I understand the current InkBunny plans completely. 😆

If you completely fake your prompt, it's actually very easy to notice for anyone with experience in these tools. And for people who can fake the prompts, it'll often be more work to fake them than to do the job using the allowed tools.

This does rely on reproducibility to a huge degree, which is impractical in quite a few cases, so the exact practice is all over the place, as you may have noticed. 😆

Indeed. I prefer the pool option IB has for variants of the same image . Deviant has it as well but it is a pain to setup.

With AI being a big issue that has hit the scene, I've been considering live-streaming some of my better artwork prior to posting it.  
This AI thing has given me concerns that some of my really detailed and best drawings might be good enough and convincing enough to be mistaken for AI, though I don't use AI and never have.
A recorded file of a drawing created in live-streamed would be proof the drawing was not extracted from another source.

I think you're worrying too much about this. 😁 I don't see any images in your gallery having AI-ish look and feel.

I had not long ago considered experimenting to see if I could achieve that look in a drawing.

The day I decided to do that, I should stream it first.

There' s one thing I almost forgot that happened to me 11 years ago not long after I opened my account.

I had drawn a close-up scene of the genitalia of a female genet peeing which was conventionally drawn, not using a digital tablet.  What I used for the pee was to paint lemon flavored jello onto the drawing with an artist brush.
The Inkbunny staff removed it. They told me the reason given was they had thought it was a photograph of a real genet pussy peeing.
When I explained to them how it was done, the staff insisted there was no way they could tell it was not a photograph.

The only disappointing thing is I won't be able to add any art to compliment my story.  I am posting some story art on DA but it's not labeled as such.
