Bad news

So someone tried to steal my car last night. They broke into it and messed it all up. Idk exactly what they did but I can't put my key in the ignition it's all torn apart. VnV

We have insurance which will cover it but I still have to pay $500 deductible that I simply don't have due to just filing bankruptcy and paying $1300 for that.

I don't expect anyone to help me but if anyone is willing to donate to help me get my car fixed I would greatly appreciate any little thing ;;

There's a picture of what they did to my car znz

Donations can be made here; https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dooksart1

Help is appreciated but never expected

OMG, thats awful, I wish I could help.

Based on that picture and the model of car on the floormat you posted, it seems like  they tried to do that "Hyundai Bois" Trick that was trending a few months ago, something something Kia and Hyundai models from certain years were really easy to steal, looks like that's what they tried to do. . . probably some teens who spend their whole day on Tiktok. . .

I hope it gets fixed, and while I can't help financially if there's anything I can do. . . feel free to message me on Discord. . . this is awful. . .

Thanks ;u; yeah someone else said that was the case and 2011-2021 Elantras were easy to steal, luckily my neighbor saw them and scared them off for us otherwise they might've stolen it

did they get a description of the perpetrators? I dont know if it will even help sadly, cops dont do much to catch theives you pretty much have to be doing drugs or murdering people before the cops seem to be able to do much.

In case you haven't heard, there's been a class action lawsuit regarding this specific issue, it might be worth checking if you're able to submit a claim since part of the settlement is to pay damages to people who's cars were broken into/damaged as a result of a theft attempt, even if the theft was unsuccessful.

I am deeply familiar with life throwing slaps when you don't have the ability to handle it, I know how hard it is to lack the support and have to ask about it.
I hope you can get through this and put it behind you soon as possible!

Looks like someone messed it up pretty good.
Lucky thing the thief didn't succeed. If he did, your car would have been at a chop shop this morning.
And as the economy gets worse, property crime will only get worse.

Here's a suggestion I can offer if you can not raise the $500 deductible...Auto parts stores carry aftermarket ignition switches that you can mount in the dashboard.
Most auto parts stores can also help you with a wiring diagram to identify which wires go to different things like; gauges, ignition, CPU, starter solenoid, accessories, transmission selector unlock, etc. That's why automotive wiring is in different colours with lines, dots or hash marks. You'll also have to remove or disable that rod that locks the steering wheel.
That would be better than walking if you can't raise the insurance deductible.

Parking in a well lit area would help to deter thieves. So would parking behind a locked gate if that option is available.
By the way...That product they call "the club" that locks on a steering wheel is a joke. All a thief has to do is hacksaw a section out of the steering wheel to remove it. Then they get a replacement steering wheel from a salvage yard, unless they plan to sell the stolen car to a chop shop.

Anyway, I hope things turn out okay for you.
