...having had to mooch off of people and then do commissions for a few years to get myself some spending money, only to now have some steady income to work with? I actually had to do a double-take after I saw some games on my Steam wishlist on sale and thought to myself "I'll have to look into buying them maybe with the next check"... only to realize that that is now a possibility for me, I actually DO have a next check coming in that I can actually spend on these games with. Just... WOW.
