Actually, at the very least, pizza can be traced to the Phoenicians, versions of which are known from the Atlantic shores of Africa and Europe, across the Mediterranean, and as far east as the foothills of the Himalaya mountains (thanks to Alexander the Great)... :) Because the word wasn't yet part of English, it's not mentioned specifically in English versions of the Bible, there are numerous references to flatbread/unleavened bread meals, including a few with Jesus! These were pizzas, as they were prepared across the Mediterranean and the Levant!
