It's time for another monthly update.
I know I haven't posted anything for a few weekends in a row, and last weekend I only posted another artists fan art, but I have worked on something behind the scenes every weekend since my last announcement. So that's kind of what I want to talk about.
I've been getting back into the BTBF novel, and every weekend I've been writing new passages. I've also been proof reading the already uploaded chapters, making spell corrections, and other minor edits, to improve the quality of the writing. So while it may seem like nothing is happening, actually progress is being made behind the scenes.
What I was thinking was something akin to like a "season" of a streaming service series. You know, instead of releasing a new episode, they release a whole season to binge on? Well perhaps I could try a similar format. Rather than release just one new chapter, I could release them in batches. Not only would this be a good way to make it more enjoyable for the readers, but also it's useful for me as the writer since part of the problem has been not knowing if I will have to make edits or rearrange earlier chapters as I develop later chapters. As such I'd rather just finish book 1 as a whole, make sure all the chapters make sense, rather than release half-baked content which might have to be changed and altered, leading to a lot of confusion for readers trying to keep up.
So yeah, I think releasing in a "batch" might be a good plan. At very least, I would like to release at least one new chapter of BTBF this summer. There is certainly a clear enough idea and enough material to make that a reality in the near future. I'm going to be continuing to work on BTBF, so keep an eye out for new content on that front.
That was the biggest announcement. Other than that, I'll just say, I am trying to make a commitment and a habit to create new furry content every weekend, but it might not always lead to an upload every weekend, especially when it's writing, because it doesn't make sense to upload half-finished content. As for visual art, I still like drawing and eventually I'll have some new pieces. I certainly have some ideas.
I am on a little hiatus with Bits&Bobs and Binxed, but that's mainly because I am getting back into BTBF and don't want to lose the momentum. Definitely not done with Bits&Bobs though, and Binxed has barely started.
What about Mila? Haven't forgotten about her either. She does have a potential story to tell. I might do some more practice art of her as she is still a new character.
That's about it. It might be a while until you see anything new, but if I end up crafting several chapters, I might release a new chapter periodically so ppl can take their time reading it.
What would be a good release schedule? Once a month, biweekly, weekly?
