It is an Angolan train, but not a narrow gauge. It is a full size, standard gauge train.

There is a real steam locomotive the one in the pic was drawn after;

In reality, boxcars with open or removed doors have been used on the end of passenger trains as economy class travel...It has cost more money to ride in a coach.
Whether the CFB Railway still uses boxcars as econo-class, I would not know.
