Anyways a bit of back story
Drake has always been strong and silly in Barbara's eyes. He's never sad in front of her.But when his father dies, he breaks down in front of her.Which in turn makes her cry too
He didnt really have a relation with his father.After his parents got a divorce he stuck to his mothers side. In his mind he blamed his father for not trying to make things work. And hadn't really spoken to him since. So after hearing the news , he had so much regret for not ever reaching out to his father.

*Sigh* When your young you think everything will wait until your ready to work it out. But life likes to throw things at you that makes you realize you cant wait. Get that shit sorted now.

Poor guy... I'd give him a hug too, especially after all that... It is a beautiful and emotionally moving picture.

It is important to do things as soon as possible, or else you may never get to. I got lucky myself. I thought someone I knew online had died, and I felt guilt for not being able to tell them how I really felt... Luckily they didn't, and I was able to. Same with visiting a relative in the hospital and giving him the strength to keep going for two more years.

Things in this life never turn out the way they should... So if you need to do something, stop hesitating and do it. You may not ever get another chance.

me and my husband are kinda really realizing that now, more so my husband since its his side of the family. It sucks thinking "If only I", starts feeling like thats the only thing you can do.
But we're gonna try to get better with communicating with our family more often.

trust me, I can't stop repeating some of the "If only I" comments in my head. Some of which are recent, and others from nearly 15 years ago... Kinda hard to forgive yourself at times, but I'm sure any of those who have passed before me would not wish of me to suffer on their behalf.

And I'm sure none of yours or your husband's would want you to suffer either. So hold those who have passed fondly in your heart, and they will live through you.

Poor Barbara. And poor Drake. When you're young, it can sometimes be hard to grasp that things won't always go on like you've known them, and sometimes life can take a harsh way of teaching you that lesson. It is important to reach out when you still can, and not let things go for too long. But at least Drake has Barbara there to comfort him, even if seeing him upset is hard for her.

Life isn't fair life can throw anuthing it wants at you and you gotta be ready for it or it'll hit you like a dodgeball to the face, and when you think you've got the worst life around, just remember there are people out there who have it a lot worse off than you, and it can always get better if you give it time to.
