"%(@#$#(*%$@)" He swore under his breath as his Master made final adjustments to the suit he was wearing.

"What did you say pet?" Nystra asked softly.

"Nothing Master." He replied in annoyance. "I just don't see why I have to be smothered like this."

"Ainoko, you have to look your best when attending a royal function." The small bunny said, "His Highness Tex personally asked for our presence at his ball, not for you to perform but to be his guest, nothing else."

"But I feel like I am suffocating in these tight clothes Master."

"I know, but you can't wear your house or dancing silks all the time Pet, you have to wear clothes are uncomfortable, even I have to dress up in similar finery. Not to mention, you are representing me and the Sashay's Twilight tonight when we go to the gala. I promise you that I will treat you to something special after we get home if you behave, otherwise it's a week with Doppur in her suite, teaching her how to behave around others and in public. Not to mention, you are going to have to sleep with her as well.

Now when we get to the gala, you behave yourself, no flirting with his highness or even suggesting anything that will make us look bad. Let his highness lead the way. Tonight he is your Master when I am not around and what he says is akin to me telling you what to do. OK?"

"Yes Master, as you wish." Ainoko said softly.

Stepping back, Nystra looked his pet over carefully, making sure that everything was in place before leading him out to the door. "Now as a reminder, his highness is your escort during the gala and he is going to want to have a few dances with you. Remember your training and show him how well you can dance."

A few hours later, the two found themselves in one of the grand ballrooms that dotted the city of Man-Reth-yo checking in and heading towards the receiving line for the Prince. It wasn't long before the two found themselves in front of the Prince, welcoming him to the city and thanking him for the honor of having them attend the gala.

"So..." Said Prince Tex smiling broadly. "This is the kitten that has charmed all whose presence he has graced. Nystra, you didn't tell me that he was so tall and handsome. Also, I need to speak to you in private for a moment."

"Sorry your highness, I just assumed you already knew from what you have heard from those who has met my pet." The small bunny said grinning. "Ainoko, you are to stay here while the Prince and I talk. If you are asked to dance, politely decline as his highness has first dibs dancing with you."

At that Ainoko watched his Master and the snowleopard walk away to talk about something in private.

"Nystra, you didn't have to dress him up for tonight." Tex said softly. "I was hoping to have him dance for everyone here. My friend, what better way to showcase your pet than to have him perform here for everyone's enjoyment."

"Tex, I know." The bunny said. "I need to get him used to events like this and to formal attire. If you are determined to have Ainoko dance tonight, we need to get his dancing silks from our home and brought here."

"Of course." The snowleopard said snapping his fingers calling one of his Nareh slaves to his side. "Caleb, you are to go to the Sashay's Twilight and talk to a two-tailed pink fox by the name of Gi. Tell him that you need Ainoko's finest public and private dancing silks for an impromptu performance tonight. Get them and take them to my private room here. As you are my fastest slave, you have 2 hours to get the silks. No go."

"As you wish sire." Caleb said before dashing out of the ballroom on his errand.

Giving the departing cheetah an appraising look, Nystra asked. "So, can that kitty get to my pleasurehouse and back in two hours?"

"Yes he can. And no you scamp, you can't bed him if that gleam in your eyes is any indication. And if I know you, you have threatened your pet with time with your problem slave, right?"

"Yeah, Doppur only listens to either me, Ainoko, Valdosta and Gi and no one else. Hell, she is always trying to get me to breed her whenever we are alone." Nystra said grinning. "By the way, how are your new Udai's enjoying your mines?"

"They're not. They've tried escaping three times since the Man-Reth-yo branch of the guild put them on the auction block and sold them to me. What did they do to be placed amongst the Udai ranks?"

"They were Doppur's former owners." Nystra said ruefully. "They were illegal slaver runners and have knowingly violated the covenant by making Doppur and others from various tribes and families slaves since they were born. Sadly I was able to save Doppur and a few others as well as capturing as few of her captors. Tex, feel free to alter those Udais if they try to escape again, it might calm them down."

"I'll think about it." The Prince said before changing the subject. "Now, let's go and enjoy the night. No word to your pet about what he is going to do tonight. And I do need to get a few 'formal' dances with him before hand."

"That is true." Nystra replied as they turned back towards where Ainoko was waiting for them.

"Now that our business has been concluded Nystra, may I have the honor of dancing with your pet?"

"You may Tex, he is fully aware that while the two of you mare together, he is to obey whatever you tell him to do."

"Great!" The Prince said before giving the hybrid a shallow bow. "Ainoko, let's go and dance before others here come after me for monopolizing you."

"Yes sir." Ainoko said as he returned the bow. "Shall we?"

"Yes." Prince Tex said as the two walked onto the dance floor.

"Pardon me for my impudence your highness." Ainoko said nervously. "But you are almost a twin of my best friend Jheremie. Like you, he is a snowleopard but an albino."

"I am going to meet this Jheremie one day Ainoko." Tex said grinning. "I'll tell you what, when I can get back here on less formal matters, you, Nystra and I will go pay him a visit, ok?"

"A-a-as you wish sire." Ainoko stammered.
