Mala is quick, but this young male is definitely quicker, even with his tilted tooth. He's gotten quite good at catching small things.
I did notice though, that I gave him relatively similar markings to Mala herself, so... Maybe he's an older brother she never met before? He certainly thinks she looks like a cute little sister, so maybe he'll adopt her for a bit? She's definitely more than a little panicked about ending up swung around like a piece of meat.
Unrelated, I'm toying with the idea of Mala, as a cub, trying to bluff that she's a boy at first, what with how she keeps getting *ahem* bullied by them because she's a girl. Though any male worth his salt could tell right away she's lying.
Not sure if this one will get cleaned up/colored or if I'll leave it as a sketch for the next shot in this little encounter
