Probably, but this is why psychics have to police their own to make sure they don't cross the line and cause that persecution.

This is true for about any society really, not just psychics, and not just in a fictional context.

I'm still of the camp that even if his mind was altered, it might've opened his mind to other ideas and got him questioning and he still might not be the same even if they undid all that.

Sorta like becoming self-aware. You can't just undo that.

He might have been opened to other ideas by someone else.. but no one has a right to use a crowbar to do it.

The psychic who did that to him had NO right, at all.

This goes beyond even rape, as heinous as that is. This is worse.
