Asil Seafarer is an otter from Noonvale and descended from Keyla who was an escape slave from Marshank that later took part in the battle at that very fort in the Redwall book Martian the Warrior. When he was old enough he traveled for a time with the current generation of the Rambling Rose Players that were now called the Wandering Noonvale Companions Troupe as a singing minstrel. It was during one of their stops and setting up for a show he encountered a female fox who happen to be in the village to preform for some coin by dancing and preforming with her tambourine and joined in with his own music which soon lead to them chatting the afternoon a way were she reviled she was on a journey of self discovery.

Prior to joining the Wandering Noonvale Companions Troupe and after he left home he picked up a few things along the way in archery and close combat with two knives and crossbow as his preferred equipment which earned him a reputation as a rising assassin that some compared to a famous fox that was said to be the deadliest archer in Mossflower who joined in the defense of Redwall against Cluny the Scourge.

His time after meeting the female fox lead him and the other Wandering Noonvale Companions Troupe to join the fox on her journey where he and the fox soon came together as a team and after the journey he and the fox along with the preforming troupe returned to Noonvale where they gave up their adventure ways and became dedicated to each other and their fellow members of the Wandering Noonvale Companions Troupe.

Personality

Adventurous, caring and dedicated to his friends tries to approach things calmly but he can be a bit boastful when it comes to his marksmanship though in his case his skills back it up specially when he was compared to be on par with the deadliest archer in Mossflower.

He does not see those as good beast as good nor those that are considered vermin like foxes and stoats since he has seen some such as the fox that he traveled with more a good beast then some of the ones he encountered on his travels
