Today we take a look at the complex romantic lives of our leading ladies, and how they felt that their potential relationships toward either Sonic or Knuckles had be shelved in favor of Princess Sally Acorn and Julie-Su the echidna.
All to force the OTP with Sally when logically and in character Sonic wouldn't ever get married to Sally if it means becoming a king. Too much responsibility and boredom that would drive the adventure loving hog mad. King Max disapproving of Sonic was not without reason even though they just had him amount it to being a "commoner". lol I mean, even Mobius 25 years later or it's sequel has Sonic literally say he isn't cut out to be King with Sally basically responding with denial. So, a more sensible outcome would be Sally either moving on from Sonic and finding someone that's a better fit for her or ending up like Elias and eloping with Sonic, not wanting to be Princess or Queen. Actually, she had an out as princess maybe when Elias had taken over, but instead of the writers giving her a new purpose or maybe question if she really wanted to inherit the kingdom they made Elias get manipulated by St. John and later have him dip out from embarrassment or something like that.
Then it gets even more funny when the council of Acorn is made that basically undermines Sally's authority and adding unnecessary drama and sudden great hatred of monarchs and Acorn family, but that was actually when Ian got on board.
