I got playing a Star Trek Adventure game with Tacki a while back and this is my character. He's since moved over to Command division and become First Officer. ^^

Lai'k' father was a non traditional Vulcan believing in the control but not suppression of one's emotions and that to suppress and ignore one's emotions entirely was illogical and potentially damaging. His mother was a Romulan who fled the Empire during her childhood with her parents due to their latent telepathic ability. She took an interest in Vulcan history and study of telepathic abilities in not only Vulcans but numerous species. The two met in StarFleet and would later be married on Vulcan with their captain presiding over the marriage which was conducted in a non vulcan traditional manner. Lai'k himself was born a year or two later as his father took up a position at the Vulcan Shipyards. Lai'k was raised in the city of T'Paal and enjoyed it's infinity diversity. Most of his childhood friends were non Vulcans. His best friend was a Human Augment. The two had hoped to enter StarFleet together but the friend was barred due to the genetic augmentations. Lai'k was still encouraged by his friend to join StarFleet while his friend would enter the Daystrom Institute. Lai'k's early career would see him being instrumental in a crisis involving an AI, his actions saving both the AI and the ship as well. More recently he participated and lead the study of a small Iconian Gate found in outer regions of the Beta Quadrant. The Gate activated during the study and deposited a human from 2020's Earth before blowing out and causing the collapse of the facility. Several months later the Levana would experience and event which would transform it's crew into regressed anthropomorphic life forms. Lai'k has managed to cope well with this having previously had interest in infantile forms of recreation and relaxation as a means of helping to even out and express his emotions in a safe manner. It is not lost on him that he now resembles his Sehlat plush and pet back home.
