A small lineup of characters from my Eevee's story! They exist in a PMD-style world. The EGGER Center is a research center which focuses on studying egg groups, mutations, hybrids and shinies phenomenons in a world within which they are poorly understood. From left to right:
DR. EKKEHART- Luxray. One of the two directors of the EGGER center. Takes a more direct leadership role than Dawn. Very stern and serious with a jealous streak, particularly when it comes to Dawn. Avoids direct contact with the subjects... Usually.
DR. DAWN- Shiny Gardevoir. The second director of the EGGER center, and Ekkehart's right-hand. Entirely emotionless and driven by nothing but a desire bordering on obsession to reach progress at any cost. Manages the administrative aspect of the Center, and acts as Ekkehart's counselor. Unaware- or, perhaps, uncaring- of Ekkehart's feelings towards her. Often willingly participates in experiments herself due to her nature as a shiny.
MIRROIR- Espeon. Head researcher of the EGGER center. Serious and driven, but without Ekkehart's mean streak or Dawn's complete lack of emotion. Manages the training of assistants into full-fledged researchers. Isn't above doing hands-on research, but often prefers to make use of his assistants for more menial or undesirable tasks.
EVE- Kirlia. One of Dawn's numerous offspring made in the name of scientific progress, she was differentiated from the rest of her siblings as a Ralts due to her displaying prodigious intellect and lack of undesirable mutations, and thus, was allowed to study under Mirroir rather than remain trapped within the lower levels of the facility as a test subject. Because of this, she grew to be incredibly neurotic and anxious, knowing that the smallest of failures may see her "demoted" to being a test subject again.
CASS- Espurr. Friend's character. Another student under Mirroir, Cass or Caster is extremely anxious less for their work and more for their survival and well-being. He is often tasked with recording mental and psychological data from subjects as they sleep due to his specialty with dreams. This also means he is required to keep a vigilant eye over the facilities late into the night, leading to his rather jumpy and alert demeanor as a result. During the day, meanwhile, Cass takes what time they can apart from rest to make friends, aiding his fellow assistant Eve and being one of the few faculty to be amiable with the subject Vee.
CLAIRE- Flaaffy. One of the kindest researchers of the Center. Dislikes the conditions which most of the subjects are kept in, but sees the work the Center is doing as being necessary for the greater good. Does not abuse or use the subjects, and always tries to make experiments enjoyable to them- due to this, she is well-loved amongst the captive 'mons.
AMI- Cinccino. Sweet and motherly, but less concerned with the test subject's well-being than Claire is. She is a very caring partner, but does not dispute orders regardless of how strenuous the experiments are on the subjects. One of the least professional of the researchers, she can make anyone comfortable around her.
VIOLET- Purrloin. One of Gideon's cronies, she takes pleasure in bullying the captive 'mons of the Center, particularly the weak-willed ones. She loves teasing those that can't do anything to her, and greatly enjoys the power she gets from messing with the test subjects. This can sometimes backfire though, as she may pick victims which are stronger than her. Enjoys dominating.
KILIAN- Glameow. One of Gideon's cronies, he takes pleasure in messing with the captive 'mons just as much as Violet does, but doesn't stoop so low as to outright bully or tease them, as he takes a lot of pride in his status as a researcher. Loves to underhandedly mock and harass the subjects with passive-aggressive remarks, particularly strenuous experiments, or giving them impossible tasks only to nag them over how poor they've performed once they fail. Secretly wants to be put in his place, but would never admit to it due to his pride.
GIDEON- Servine. The 'leader' of Violet and Kilian, often dragging them along in his constant bullying and abuse of the test subjects. Particularly cruel, with a sadistic streak, he loves to play mind games and promise the captives their desires before giving them arbitrary and impossible goals and expecting them to perform perfectly so they can punish and denigrate them. Having been Dawn's favored student before Eve came along, his superiority complex and jealousy drives him to be extremely cruel and abusive towards the Kirlia. He is responsible for her damaged horn.
SUBJECT V- Shiny Eevee. My character. Also called "Silver-V", or "Silver-5". Due to this, he responds to Vee, Silver, Five or Silvee. Classified as a Silver-Class test subject, and as such allowed more freedom than other test subjects, though still a slave to the orders of the Center and its personnel. His ear tag denotes this. Often the target of Gideon's clique due to his quiet and odd nature. Also relentlessly teased by Poppy, who holds her evolved status over him. He was bred and born within the Center, and never knew anything else but the endless experiments, his desirable mutations and shiny status as well as his mellow, shy personality making him a favored subject for some of the researchers.
's character. Despite being officially named by the Center "Bronze-II" or "B-2", she doesn't respond to those names due to being a captured subject rather than one that had been brought in to the Center as an egg or bred there. She's very bratty and opposes the staff at every opportunity, though she often doesn't get to refuse them as much as she'd like, and usually just ends up getting punished for her defiance. Despite her poor behaviour, her breeding capabilities and sheer fertility put her above the lowest level of quality for a test subject. Tends to take out her frustrations on Vee, since he's weaker and smaller than her and too quiet to rat her out to the researchers. This doesn't always go great for her. Also known as "vappy bitch" by the researchers.
I may make a small series out of this after my workload has lessened a bit! °w°
