World/Setting

She's from a timeline where high-tech science and fantasy magic exist. Furries, like Mary, were created by practitioners of both to study evolution but later, used for services for humans. After a civil rights act, furries now live alongside humans.

Her middle name is "Jane". Yes, it's a weed reference, LOL. She doesn't have an official surname. She often squeaks when she laughs. Using her lightning ability, she can sense the energy of other beings and use it to determine whether or not they're a threat. This doesn't work with the undead, making her extra uncomfortable around them. She also squeaks when laughing or giggling and sneezes any time her nose is booped.

It should be noted that Mary is considered as an adult. She is often treated like a child because of her size and appearance and as part of her therapy.

Some further explanation of her sword. It has two blades that run alongside each other, similar to Kadaj from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Mary uses her lightning abilities to turn her sword like a taser by conducting it through the metal bits on the hilt. I went with a katana to go with her speed, the "swooped" design just looks cool. People have been asking what I imagine Mary to sound like. I think she would sound most like Maka Albarn from the English dub of Soul Eater. Laura Bailey is the voice actress.
