Backstory:
Amateris was the third to hatch of Ansolin and Rhysera’s first of two clutches and was a pleasant surprise as her colors were the ideal coloration of a fire dragon as her fire-orange and deep blue nearly matched the colors of their clan colors, Igniscrest. She did well in school, excelling in her element, yet unlike her sister she lacked the magic she had, however she seemed to have been a stronger fighter, something she had in common with her brother Rimos, eventually she became the one to stand up for others, after her sister was being bullied by a group of dragons that were more powerful in magic but lacked physical strength, becoming a shield for her sister and those who couldn’t or wouldn’t defend themselves, but her kinder side was what ultimately won people over. Her smile and voice caught the hearts of many, but she never dated throughout her school days.
After graduation, she went on to join the military, finding her calling in the role of a healer, and her stern yet caring nature helped put soldiers at ease, and she learned how to dress wounds and build splints with impressive swiftness. Moving to Fire Talon as the war against the apes had diverted from the city and began attacking other towns around the capital and her job became far more hectic, yet she remarkably remained calm, keeping not just the wounded soldiers, but even local civilians calm while she tended to their wounds. It wasn’t long until her family presented her a suiter a fire dragon named Brannius from the Prism Flam clan. A well known commander of the 12th regiment of Warfangs army, willing to unified with him, if only to please her parents she allowed Brannius to stay with her. She also noticed an earth dragon taking notice of her as well. For the next four years she continued to heal the wounded and battle the apes that dared venture into the town, at times she would join with the earth dragon, learning his name was Terracon, she learned her brother had climbed the ranks himself and became a commander, and a very sound strategic one as well, while her sister became a master of magic, teaching it to others. Yet her life would go south after being unified to Brannius.
During those four years she did not see much of her soon to be mate, as her job grew more problematic as the apes continued to assault dragons in the area and she recalled talking to Terracon as he too would be healed by her, or battling alongside him, yet she would arrive home and felt an odd sensation each time she would put it aside as Brannius welcomed her home to a cooked meal even during late hours and he was the last one to head to bed. Though they tried for a family, she felt he was blank, or never timed his affection during her heat. Yet as the years passed she slowly learned he had married her for her wealth and had been stealing money from her to use for his own selfish gains, which had put a massive dent in not only her stash, but in the hospitals and Igniscrest finances. He had also been seeing another, and intended on running away with her using the money he had stolen.
The fight that ensued that evening was nothing short of brutal, but ultimately ended with Brannius beaten and pinned under Amateris, who threatened him with execution by her own claws if he didn’t give the money back and leave. He was exiled by the clan's elder and banished from his own clan for damaging Igniscrest and Fire Talons finances, although Amateris did not leave the fight unscathed, she had a few scars on her body from the fight that her friends Beirani and Pelenis didn’t have time to heal before it was too late.
Amateris poured herself into her work; her inner fire had been doused, leaving only a humorless, distrustful and miserable husk behind. Yet one day she stopped all work and headed outside and cried until a familiar dragon came by and merely listened and held her, Terracon seemed to be a dragon she trusted, and without thinking she asked him out and to her surprise he agreed. Over the coming years, Amateris and her sister slowly made plans for the unification of her and Terracon, and her parents were pleased she found a suitable mate from a better clan to wed. Once she saw him enter Fire Talon again to ward off another ape rais, becoming to town hero as she became the renown healer of the town, it wasn’t long until he asked her to marry him, she agreed to be his mate and they wed in Fire Talon. Throughout the next several years she continued to heal the wounded while he moved between the city of Warfang and Fire Talon, yet he would come home late and leave early
and the times he was home, they tried for a family and eventually got their dream, as she laid three beautiful eggs. Two light greens and a purple egg. For the next several months, the apes continued to be relentless and the dragons soon found themselves spread out too thin after the years of moving out guarding the other towns, and learning that Gaul, the ape King himself was mobilizing a sizable force, Terracon returned home more scared than she had ever seen him and soon he got the majority of the town evacuated, yet Gaul ordered a sizable force to pursue them, after all it was year of the dragon and prophecy for told of a purple egg being born this year, though none in Fire Talon heard of Warfang's prophecy.
Meeting up with another group that was hidden from another ape raid, they followed them, among them were a wind dragon and dark dragon, yet the leader convinced Terracon and the surviving guards he was a friend and ally. They would not make it to War's Peak with the group of pregnant females and families carrying eggs, she tried her best to comfort the carrying females and heal the guards whenever they stopped, but like her husband knew they would never reach War’s Peak like this. Hearing him order the guards to escort the group while he held the line, she wasn’t abandoning her mate, Amateris handed her eggs over to a friend and fellow healer telling her to return to the outskirts of Fire Talon, sensing it was clear of apes, telling her what names she wished for her children, Terrex, Neriya, and Spyro. The wind dragoness did the same as her and her shadowy mate stood next to the doomed couple. They battled the immense force of Malefor's force, giving the group time to head towards safety. Earth, fire, wind and shadow tore through the apes, they battled long and fierce but the numbers seemed endless, Terracon took a spear to the chest, many were surprised he stayed aloft, waning from their wounds the four heroic dragon used up whatever strength was left in them and combined their four fury attacks, killing off the rest of the apes and eventually themselves, no bodies fell from the sky that sad, heroic day.
