Character Description
Katelyn Mayda-Lanessa Anderson, or known by everyone as Kate by her nickname, is a supporting main character that frequently appears in My Life as a Teenage Rabbot. She was Lincoln's former best friend prior to the events of The Lost Prototype Unit. She is also Penelope's companion in her smartwatch, tablet, phone, and nowadays, robot that usually resides in Penelope's large knapsack. Furthermore, she made her first official appearance in “Kate Comes Back” when she became a supporting major main character of the show and had multiple other appearances since then. However, except for Kate and the Virus, she had to spend the day at Katherine's lab after getting infected with a very nasty computer virus in that very episode.
Personality
Kate can be seen by others as simply another average young person who also happens to be cunning, intellectual, and a little laid back. However, Kate may also lose her temper easily, especially when someone calls her a “contrary nuisance” unintentionally or on purpose to make her angry in order to make fun of her. Anyone who meets Kate will at the very least realize that she is observant and intelligent, despite the temptation to attempt to comprehend someone who is so open-minded. Along with her predatory instincts, she also possesses other traits like perceptiveness, kindness, and discretion, although they are far less noticeable.

She is generally admired for her intuition, though. People typically take this and her unusual nature into account in times of need. Kate also has less endearing traits since, of course, nobody is perfect. She tends to desire to push people away due to her fragile temperament, tendency to snap at others, and infantile manner.

Background/History
She was raised in a middle-class household in a developed neighborhood where she was born and raised. Until she was around 9 years old, she had no problems, but then things started to go south. She was the typical happy-go-lucky, loyal, and occasionally feisty youngster in the Anderson family before the argument about money. Nine-year-old Kate Anderson loved going to museums, swimming, playing games, reading, and listening to the radio. She may be quite unpleasant and disrespectful to her peers at times while being smart, sneaky, cunning, and active.

Prior to passing away at age 59, Kate was only 8 (now 9 in My Life as a Teenage Rabbot) at the moment of her death. Kate's mother is still viewed as being overweight, happy, and persistent five years later, much like her daughter was, let alone being a bother in her own right. Like other mothers, her mother enjoyed humiliating her in front of her friends and other family members during gatherings and parties, sometimes even over the phone. Despite Kate's dislike of nicknames, she didn't really like the ones her mother proposed, which include "Katelyn," "Katie," and "Katie waitie," which made her flush more tomato-red on her face. Redder than normal, like a tomato. Ironic, considering that Kate was born at the Tennessee home of the Anderson family, where Melissa Anderson, Kate's mother, raises tomatoes in particular.

Despite everything she's gone through, Kate is generally a great person to be friends with, save for the sheer embarrassment from her mother and being made fun of by her friends because of her mother's personality.
