Look at them. They're all having fun. Laughing, drinking, telling stories and getting along. Why can't you be like that? Why can't you just let loose and enjoy yourself? You know what happens every single time you do this. You start the party, you're all fun and stories, you love playing the hostess, but then it all flips. You realize the truth. Nobody wants you here. Nobody cares. They just know you throw really good parties. They'd be having so much more fun if you weren't even here. Maybe you should just go upstairs and go to bed right now. It's not like anyone will even miss you. They're not even talking to you. Probably because you're so fat and ugly. You're an insufferable annoyance and you're good at pretending to be the life of the party but you know it's all a fake, a facade, and as soon as it comes down, they see you're just a miserable, sad, ugly girl and who would ever want to spend time with that? They all see it. You've already shown them by acting like this, off in the corner and playing the sad sack. You're bringing everyone down and no amount of acting small will change that. Just crawl away and let them enjoy themselves and when it's all over, you'll clean up for them, they'll say how great of a time they had, and they'll pretend like they enjoy your company- all so you'll do this for them again. But at least... at least when it starts, it's okay. It's fun for a while, ya know? God... why do you keep doing this to yourself, Caroline? Why do you ever think it's going to change?

Oh, the mind games our bored and/or traumatised brain loves to play with us, just to entertain itself and give itself purpose when you've lost yours, or been told there is none, and believed that...
All it takes for a change, is very energetic and genuinly caring person to get in your life (if you let them in, that is), but there's not enough people like that for every broken and lost soul there is.

Trauma is a bitch. But art exists.

No you sure are not. I mean I've had a really bad case of social anxiety since I was a kid. Years of being bullied. I constantly fear I'm going to screw up and get people mad at me. But I'm getting better..even a tiny bit. By going to FWA every year, and then there's the time I've spent in the shiba squad on vrchat, I'm not as bad as I once was.

Oh that poor sweetie. She's so pretty and precious, I wanna pull her into my arms and smooch her nice and warm. She's perfect in every possible way.

She is far from perfect but she appreciates the compliment.

I wish I could gently take her into my arms and tell her how important she is. How wonderful, outstanding, and special she is.

I'd love to.spend time with her. She looks lovely.

Incredible work Terd. You really captured a complex amount of emotions well here. I'm proud of you.

I'd talk to her...
I have had the most fascinating conversations with folks like her, I tend to avoid the loud ones myself, they are a vexation on the spirit.  make her smile in conversation is a real win. having no fences around my mind helps in situations like this, sometimes it's nice to just spend time with someone so that you aren't alone in the world if only for the space of a few hours at a random party. rather than being just two ships that pass in the night.
