I've always enjoyed the character of Nack/Fang, whatever you wanna call him. His design has always caught my interest, probably because I feel that the Sonic series needs more villains that aren't just Eggman, robotic clones or weird, Eldritch horrors that don't feel in place in that universe whatsoever. Of course, due to his lack of presence in the games I often forget about him, so it was a pleasant surprise to see him return in Sonic Superstars, which is what prompted this picture. Unfortunately, he would also be the cause of the two worst boss fights in the entirety of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, but that's a topic for another day...
Initially I only planned to draw a strictly canon-style picture of Fang here, but somewhere along the way it slowly changed more and more into my own take on the character. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty happy with the end result, I just don't know how it got to this point!
