The Mochaverse - as we're calling it - just got a whole lot bigger, as we introduce the Echidna family to everyone!

Knuckles (36) - Longstanding guardian of the Master Emerald and husband to Tikal. He's loosened up as he's aged and raises his children in the ways of the warrior, so that one day they too will carry on the family tradition of guarding the Master Emerald and protecting it - and the world - from harm.
Tikal (34) - Wife to Knuckles and daughter of Chief Pachacamac of the Knuckles tribe. Her return to the mortal world happened long ago as a result of her required presence during a world crisis. However, instead of returning to her emerald prison a second time, she was instead given the opportunity to live out her life as she should have, and soon fell in love with the emerald's guardian and is now the mother to five (soon to be six) beautiful children. She was also able to quickly debunk any preconceived notions that she and Knuckles had previous familial ties.
Pakal (15)(2nd from left) - Firstborn of the Echidna family, Pakal inherited Knuckles' hotheaded streak and loves to get into brawls if an opponent presents itself. He takes his training to become the next guardian after his father retires (whenever that is) extremely seriously, and will take every opportunity to spar and improve his fighting skills.
Maya (14)(Left) - Born one year after Pakal, the only daughter of the family, which sometimes makes it difficult for her since she has to deal with four brothers. She's hoping with all her heart and soul that when her mom gives birth this time, it'll be to another girl to even things out a little. Named after her great-grandmother, Maya has a powerful maternal instinct, encouraged by her mother's teachings. She looks after her brothers fiercely, sometimes to the point where she gets on their nerves as they proclaim that she's not their mother, but her heart is in the right place. Unlike her mother though, get her mad, and she will absolutely go ballistic on you. She also has a pet chao named Itzy.
Pacha (8)(Middle) - Full name is Pachacamac, named after his maternal grandfather, but prefers to be called Pacha since he feels like his full name is too long and sounds weird. Pacha is something of a loner and prefers to do his own thing rather than train for combat with his father and older brother. He's more attached to his sister than anything, but really it's because he wants to play with Itzy, not that he'd admit it. He finds the whole "guardian" idea to be stupid, not understanding why the Master Emerald is so important.
Taavi (5)(2nd from right) - Taavi is the walking definition of a momma's boy. He loves his father and his siblings, but he is practically joined at the hip with Tikal, never wanting to leave her side for even a moment. He won't even go to sleep at night unless Tikal is the one who puts him to bed and tells him a bedtime story. He hates fighting even more than his sister, mostly because Tikal always tells him that violence is never the answer. He may resemble Knuckles more on the outside, but he's Tikal's twin on the inside.
Mol (1)(Held by Tikal) - The circumstances that led to Mol's birth were beyond stressful. World events called upon Knuckles and his friends to fight once more. But Sonic and Shadow were down for the count, and the Chaos Emeralds had been drained of all energy. So Knuckles was forced to take on energy directly from the Master Emerald, a feat no one - not even Sonic - had ever been able to accomplish. With his fully-powered Hyper form, Knuckles was able to put an end to the reality-shattering threat, but he was losing control of his sense of self from the overcharge. Tikal was able to reel him back, and after an INTENSE lovemaking session to burn off the excess energy, Knuckles fell unconscious for an entire week. 9 months later, a chaos-charged Mol was born. Who is to say what sort of potential he really has? The family is eager to find out.
