In the world of Supercream, Sally Acorn is Moon Squirrel. As a teenager, she was exposed to a beam of moonlight that was modified during a field trip in a science lab, and as a result, she gained superpowers, mainly the ability to fly like has no gravity, the ability to fire moonlight blasts from her hands and eyes. Making her own costume, and creating the Crescent Moon Boomerangs, a boomerang shaped like a crescent moon that can be used in case her powers are ineffective in stopping a villain's escape, Sally became Moon Squirrel, the young protector of Mobotropolis.

When she meets Supercream, she is an adult who has a daughter, Sakura Crimson, a.k.a. Moon Vixen, with husband and cameraman Jeremy Crimson.
