Poor Dolly Melissa!  When she heard about the total eclipse on April 8, she couldn't wait for the event.  She had never seen an eclipse before, and her parents warned her about not looking directly at it at the risk of losing her sight.  Luckily for her, the local supermarket was selling special glasses for viewing the event.  So her parents bought one pair just for her, since they would be busy doing other things inside.  On the morning of the event, Dolly got dressed and ran out into the backyard with the glasses in her hand.  But just moments before the event happened, the clouds started to form and the rain started to fall.  The disappointed little girl ran back into the house and waited out the rain...which unfortunately lasted throughout the eclipse.  Now she'll have to watch the 6:00 News to see the event recorded in other parts of the country...either that or wait until 2045 for the next eclipse.  The question is, will her glasses last that long?

So did you manage to see the eclipse on that day?  Or did you experience he same weather Dolly (and I) did?

Mother Nature drew the curtain closed on the eclipse so Dolly couldn't watch it.

Well, at least Mother Nature saved Dolly's eyesight.
