Degredation of Love
Passionate, true love at first sight,
Ending in a fizzling flame that sparks out.
The love once faithful, now brittle and faded,
Cannot be clung to for comfort any longer.
One side burns hot, the other frozen cold,
Mesmerized by another - leaving you behind
With only echoing memories and dust of what once was.
As they rejoice you drown in your sorrows,
Begging for forgiveness and peace once again,
collapsing onto the cold floor alone.
You're left with just one question: "why?"
