It had been four month's it lest that what my ID plate told me Liliah my Zonai pilot had left back to Highrule that was okay I had told her she can head back over this time I had been training magic with Jana weapon training with Lavitz I swore that I saw him staring at my butt a few times but he always told me no and lastly magic engineering with Beka and her dad Kyle it was fun the two of them showed me how to use and modify the rune array's on some of my weapons and gear I had gone so long without knowing much of my magic or the best way to use it even with all the training I did with my mother and uncle I was still lacking but not now not after all this training the night be for I was set to leave Jana had invited me to her library the room was amazing book cases that reached ceiling she had poured us some
tea and moved to a safe on one wall opening it she brought out an old looking book more like a tome and placed it on the table turning it to me my eyes went wide at the mark on the cover it was my families crest the same crest that now sat hole on my left forearm looking up at Jana ``how did you'' I tried to say she just smiled ``lets just say it found its way to my library oh and you will need this'' she says and hands over a pair of glasses and an blue crystal pendent ``the book has a magic lock on it the pendent will unlock it and the glasses will help you to read the run array's with in my dear'' I jumped up and hugged Jana thanking her
the next day I was packing my bags Jana had even given me a cute suit case to carry some of my stuff and a small glasses case for the magic reading glasses as I walked down to the main room I saw everyone Jana Lavitz Beka and Kyle waiting for me I walked up to Lavitz first who embraced me in a warm hug ``its not going to feel the same around here without you Linkle but I know you have a home land of your own who needs you back in it'' he says and pulled out a beautiful blue and white scarf and placed it in my suitcase ``a little something that will help you I left a note with it as well I hope we get to see each other again'' he says and I nod ``yeah we will you can't get rid of me for long'' I say and move on to Jana who hugs me close ``Linkle my dear I just want to say it was such a pleasure to have you stay with us you were practically apart of our family and we will always think of you as such''
Jana says and hands me a short rectangular device with interlocking circles and symbols ``I hope this helps you Linkle it's an item transmuter'' she says placing it in my suitcase I left a note telling you more about it my dear'' she says and lastly I came to Beka and Kyle both had big smiles on there faces Beka held a long rectangle box under one arm and Kyle had a small box in hand Beka started first ``well Linkle it was so much fun to have you around I think of you like my little sister and as your big sis I have to make sure you can protect yourself so here'' she says and opens the box inside my heart almost skips a beat inside the box are two beautifully crafted cross bows one was an ice blue and the other a flame red both had silver gold and some kind of red metal filigree work on them I look up at Beka and hug her ``thank you big sis''
I say as Kyle nods ``okay well Linkle I must say you are a one of a kind your flying skills are amazing so I want you to have this'' he says and hands me some kind of case I look at it then at Him ``put your Id Plate in it'' he says and I do so as it slid in a beep comes from the plate and in image appears on the screen of n odd looking machine it looked like a spider the words X1151 Spider Fighter as I look up at Kyle he just smiled at me ``I know you will take good care of her besides shes yours you help us fix her up''
Not long after that I set the Spider down on the landing pad at Ramblers Reach shutting the Spider down as I unbuckled myself from the flight seat pushing the button to lower the landing ramp and making my way down the steps passing by the clinic I waved to the girls who smiled and waved back I had been back to Ramblers Reach a number of times and I had gotten to know all the Fey-Kin humans and Fur's who called this place home making my way to the Cat's Meow cantina the place was a bee hive of activity I saw Malachi running with a three or four bags on his back as Rune and Dielle were carrying a
box full of odds and ends down the sets from up stairs both girls spot me and hurry down before tackling me with warm hugs and nuzzles ``Linkle its so nice to see you again'' says Dielle as Rune smiles up at me from my chest sorry Linkle the place is a bit of a mess were in the middle of our reassignment move'' I blinked at Runes words ``wait moving you all are moving out?'' I say as Malachi comes over ``well we are moving now were just trying to find someone who can takes us to our new assignment post'' he says as I spot Inigo coming down the steps with two Raboot in tow both had soft cream colored fur violet eyes behind round pink framed glasses and instead of the normal black and red outfit/fur that you
would see a Raboot in this two had a light pink high turtleneck like sweater ``and before you ask Linkle it's a place called Highrule on some sky island'' he says and I smile ``well if you lot are looking for a ride I can give you a lift I'm heading home anyway'' I say and all of them look at me the next think I know I'm in the middle of a big group hug all but the two Raboot were hugging and thanking me as we parted Rune looked to the two Raboot ``oh yes Linkle let me introduce you to the two newest members of Team Maelstrom Blake And Marci'' she says as Malachi pulls out a gold and blue orb from his bag as the boxes full of stuff diapered into it
after a bit of goodbye's from the members of Team Maelstrom to some of the locals of Ramblers Reach we all arrived at the landing pad ware Inigo and Rune and middle stared in amazement at the aircraft ``WOW Linkle is this really your ship?'' Inigo asked as I nod ``yup this is mine just got it today ``hummmm old sheikah design has had some modification's rotor's are new and....oh! I see you added a mana drive engine to it as well very nice'' came the voice of one of the twins I turned to look at who spook but all I saw were the two writhing in two note books then slipping the note books into their turtle neck sweaters moving up to the ship I pushed a button and lowered the loading ramp and everyone headed up and dropped off their bags then helped them into the three rows of seats just behind the cockpit ``okay lets get this spider in the air''
I say as I head to the cockpit getting into the flight seat strapping in as Aaron Adria and Ardyn joined me as I started the ship up the power plant hummed to life as the engine purred and spooled up the main view screen came to life showing the outside as the two smaller round screens to my left and right light up showing me power readings on the left screen and the screen on the right showing me what mode the spider fighter was in as well as weapons statutes and ship statutes grabbing the control yoke and pulling back as the spider rose into the air the legs locked together and rose to form the wings reaching to my left I pushed the throttle forward turning to the west I waged the right wing up and down the pilots version of waving bye as we gain altitude I tap in commands to the nave computer ``okay everyone hold on going to make the jump to slip space'' I say reaching up to a throttle leaver and pushed up full forward the sky elongated before it turned into a swirling tunnel was blue and silver light looking at the nave computer it says that the flight in hyper space will take about a haft an hour
After a few moments I went back and found the others playing games smiling ``okay everyone we will be Home in about haft an hour so just relax `` I say as Rune gets up and pads up to me ``thank you Linkle we would have been out of luck without you'' she says ``any time Rune always happy to help'' I say as Aaron comes out of the cockpit and sees Rune ``hi Rune say want to come and see the cockpit? It's pretty cool'' she says and Rune nods as the two walk past me I look and see Malachi looking out a view port at the colors of hyper space I walked over and sat next to him ``so first time seeing hyper space Malachi?'' I say as Malachi looks at me and nods ``yeah this is my first time seeing it wonder how fast were going?'' he says and I cant help but giggle as he blushes ``hehe its okay I know how you feel I was like that my first time seeing it but if you want to see something cool?''
Reaching to my belt I grab my sheikah slate Malachi looked at the device with wonder in his eyes as the screen light's up and a map appears ``WOW is that us?'' he asks pointing a paw at the screen and I nod ``yup that's us and'' I say scrolling the screen ``this is where were going'' I say stopping the screen on my home world ``WOW so that's it?'' he says and I nod ``yup that's it Malachi and'' zooming in I showed him the sky island that we would be landing at and he was even more amazed
Sometime later I sat in the cockpit munching on a sandwich that Lavitz had packed for me in my suitcase it was so tasty fresh turkey lettuce tomatoes along with some kind of sauce spread I think Lavitz called it Rancher's spread but anyway the food was super tasty my little Eevee friends even had one of thire own that they are munching on right now taking the last bite of my food just as a beeping sound came from the nave computer looking down I saw that it was the two minute wearing flipping a switch ``okay everyone we will be dropping out of hyperspace soon so strap in'' I say and did the same looking at the timer I saw it was it was getting close reaching up I pulled the throttle leaver back the lights of hyper space slowed and reverted back to the blue sky's of Highrule's Sky Loft a beep came from my radar screen looking I saw a bleep on the screen
Looking at it again I was puzzled it appeared to be on my starboard side looking at the view screen for the side all I say were clouds looked like a storm was brewing down below on the ground next thing I know the radar bleep turned into three bleeps one on each side of the main one ``oh crap are this guys sky pirates or something?'' I say as the three bleeps get closer then a voice comes over the com's `` attention unknown aircraft this is youth core air patrol flight leader Cissnei pleas id your self'' I hear her say keying my com ``this is sky knight Linkle Lightwing from the 7th air wing out of Skyloft my CO is commander'' I was cut off ``okay your clear and welcome back miss Lightwing'' she says as I look to my left and see what looked to be a motorcycle with two pairs of wings on the front peel away from the Spider and meet up with a much larger skyship that must of been there base ship
A bit more flying took us to my home on the sky island doing a flyby I saw Riven perched in a three the former Fey Elf must of felt me looking at him because he waved a dark blue wing at the spider fighter as I came back around I saw that someone had installed a landing pad for me touching down softly then shut the spider down and opened the boarding door on the left side of the craft ``okay everyone were home'' I say going back to see everyone at the door there jaws wide open looking out at the sky island smiling down at them ``well everyone welcome home'' I say jumping down as the others flowed suit as a dark purple owl flaps over to me ``oh hello Riven'' I say holding out my arm as he lands ``whoooooo good to see you as well Linkle I take it your all healed up?'' he says and I nod ``very good my dear I also see you brout some new friends with you as well'' he says and I nod and introduce him to everyone
Later that night I sat on the new upper deck of my home in a blue bath robe sitting across from me was Riven but in his Elf form ``and that's about it Linkle like I told you the new magic system will make it easier to add on to your home just use this'' he says sliding over a silver glowing rectangle device it looked like my ID plate picking it up I looked at it then at Riven as he smiled ``your home controller my dear this will let you add on to the home as you see fit'' he says and I hug him happy for the gift ``thanks Riven I will treasure it'' I say as Riven stands and in a flash of light transforms into his owl form and gives me a nod and flaps away into the woods
A few days later I sat in the living room a plate of food on my lap I was not alone I had some friends with me my three Eevee's as well as Team Maelstrom who all had a plate of food in front of them as the big TV was on the local news ``in local news several members of the High Rule Ranger's have been dispatched to the local village of Blue Falls close to Lake Hylia on the report of some missing villagers who went into a newly discovered cave close to town we will bring you more news on this once we find out more now over to maple for our look at the weather'' the tv set shut off as I look over to Rune and Malachi who's eyes were glowing blue ``my champion I believe that those Rangers are going into a Mystery Dungeon they don't know what their getting into we must warn them'' she says as Malachi looks up at me and I nod to him reaching into my pocket and pulledout my ID plate and switched it over o phone mode
A few rings later someone picked up at the base ``Linkle is that you?'' came the voice of my big brother and I filled him in ``Linkle are.....are you sure you can handle this?'' Roan asked ``yes I am Roan pleas let me do this I don't want them to get hurt in that Mystery Dungeon'' I say ``okay Linkle consider yourself back in active duty and......good luck little Sis'' he says before the line cuts out ``thanks big brother'' I say and look to the others ``okay lets get going Lofty can carry us now lets see'' I say as a window opens up before me the words ``Form Party'' appeared at the top ``okay this is new'' I say as Dielle jumps onto my right shoulder ``oh wow that is so cool Linkle I didn't know you can do that'' she says as I look at her ``I didn't know I can do that either'' I say as I look at the window I saw myself on the far left the words ``Leader'' printed just over me and to the right of me were three blank spots marked ``Party'' along with two other blank spots just under the three marked support/backup just under that and last part was transport I saw Lofty's picture as well as one showing the Spider fighter
A few moments later I made my choice's Malachi Rune and Aaron as my main team but I added Dielle and Adria as backups as well Dielle and Adria would work as the team's healers ``okay everyone get ready gather whatever you need I'm going to go and change'' I say heading up stairs reaching my room I closed the door and started to strip down and grabbed my gear slipping on my under shirt I saw myself in the mirror and an odd blue green glow coming from my left shoulder looking down I saw that my magic crest had grown in size the wings of the shield looked fluffy and thicker almost like they would spout from my shoulder at any moment then I saw an odd looking line from the top of the shield going to my upper shoulder going to my upper back turning my back to the mirror and I look back and I let out a gasp there on my back clear as day was the biggest magic crest I had ever seen the thing looked massive two pairs of wings adorned a large shield with a pair on the bottom of the shield the center had a diamond adorning it just then something popped into my vision the words ``Mark Of Awakening'' appeared then a new menu appeared and the words ``congratulations you have had your awaking'' it says as more text appears ``new title: Caregiver rank (L) new title: Fey-Kin Tamer Rank (A) New skill's added: Caring Rank (S) allows the caster to bring someone udder there custody and bring out there potential key word ``I care for you'' new skill added As the Branch Bends So Grows the Tree'' allows the caster to see the potential in others along with skills and potential skills and ranks I read on in amazement at the skills as I slip my under shirt on followed by my hooded vest and shorts gloves and lastly my boots then I came to the last bit my overall rank turned out I was an F rank pretty low on the range but it's okay I'm happy that I can still help others ``well well looks like we have a new Awakened'' came a feminine voice to my right turning I saw a small ball of light in the air I almost jumped out of my skin as the ball of light chuckled
After I came down from my shock the ball spoke again ``its nice to meet you miss Lightwing and welcome to the ranks of the awaken'' it says and I look at the ball of light ``n..nice to meet you too but pleas just call me Linkle'' I say as I'm not sure how but the ball of light gives a sort of nod ``okay then Linkle it is then now lets have a look and see what the newest hero has'' the ball says but the ball start's to bounce around ``no no way this can't be right''
Sometime later I sat on Lofty's back in my distance riding saddle lofty knew right ware to go that left me to enjoy the flight and reflect on what happened ``no way how can this happen you should have been at lest an A rank S rank to be more spot on'' the ball says and looks at me again ``but let me look more closely'' it says then moments later I speaks again ``AHA I was right here look at this'' the ball says and my stat window opens up and the ball hovers over my care giver skill ``okay tap on it'' it sys and I do so and the window now shows my skills from the care giver title but then the ball highlights a diamond next to the title then a new window appears and a new grayed out title called ``Perfect Custodian'' ``here it is this will make you an S ranker Linkle I know it but.......this is going to be hard'' it says then a new line of text appears ``get a Legendary Sub Legendary or Mythical Fey-Kin to join your team''
Those words rang in my mind as I fly on ``okay looks like this will get you to S rank Linkle but this is as far as I can help you the rest is up to you'' the ball says and starts to fade ``oh hold on what is your name anyway I feel kind of bad just thinking of you as a talking ball of light'' I say and the ball giggles ``well you can call me Aileen and also just know I'm rooting for you Linkle go out thire and give it your all Care giver Linkle'' those last words rang in my mind ``oh Linkle I see them I think they set up camp'' came Malachi's voice and I look ``wow yeah your right Mal sharp eyes buddy I say giving him a kiss on the cheek making him blush I grab the rains as we descend into a new journey that may open up a new path for my world would it lead to our world seeing a new golden age or to our down fall?
