L: On the shore of the ocean, a smallish light blue dragon sits in the sand, a set of purple goggles on his forehead as he considers where he should go on his upcoming dive.

G: Also on the beach, approaching the ocean, is a tall, white otter-like figure, wearing a green pair of swim shorts and a blue diving mask, a holster with his diving knife wrapped around his leg. Though he would notice the blue dragon and would walk up to him. Guess he wasn't the only one going for a swim, today.

L: The dragon looks over at the otter and smiles. "Hi! Are you heading for a dive, too? It's definitely a nice day for that!"

G: The otter smiles and nods, adjusting his goggles. "Of course! Always a good day to dive, I feel. Well, most of the time, anyway."

L: "I certainly agree, almost always good to spend some time underwater... I'm Blubby, by the way." He holds out a paw for the otter to shake.

G: The otter smiles. "Mine's Tempo. It's nice to meet you!" He shakes the dragon's paw, eventually heading into the water slowly.

L: Blubby gets up to follow Tempo. "How good are you at holding your breath? I can go long enough I don't really have to worry."

G: As his paws touch the water, he would look to Blubby. "...Last time I checked, I think I reached... 8 minutes until I couldn't stay under any longer."

L: "That's pretty good! I can give you air if you need it, so don't hesitate to ask. I can hold my breath about 6 hours, so it's not a big deal."

G: "6 hours, huh? Guess you're an aquatic dragon, huh..." He laughs a little bit, heading into the deeper waters before diving underwater.

L: Blubby quickly takes an enormous breath before joining Tempo underwater, walking along the seabed instead of swimming.

G: Tempo swam alongside the dragon, not yet realizing the dragon couldn't swim. He stayed by Blubby's side on the way down.

L: Happily smiling up at Tempo, Blubby lets some bubbles loose from his nostrils before looking ahead again, already enjoying simply having a partner for his dive.

G: He looks over to Blubby and smiles. Always nice to have a partner to look out for you, even as they kept going deeper into the ocean.

L: The surface slowly gets farther away as the two divers progress into the ocean, but Blubby certainly doesn't mind, and he imagines that Tempo doesn't either. While he's hoping to find something interesting down here, he wouldn't mind if this ended up just being a more typical dive.

G: he wouldn't, especially since depth doesn't affect him. He'll feel the same near the surface as he would feel in the deepest parts.

Though the deeper they go, the more Tempo worries for Blubby... mainly because he notices something... "...H-Hey... Can you not swim?" He asks, exhaling a few bubbles inadvertantly.

L: Blubby doesn't mind spending some air on a response. "Nope. My body's too dense. It at least doesn't matter all that much."

G: He would nod. At least they both can speak underwater clearly. But that means they should save more time to head up to the surface.

Then again, Tempo, being a swimmer, could probably swim up, breathe, then bring it down to the dragon...

L: The two wander in the depths for a while longer, getting about 100 feet underwater eventually. Nothing all that interesting has been found yet, though...

G: It's been a bit, and Tempo's beginning to feel his lungs burn. It's fine, though... He ignores it, slowing his swimming until he sinks down to the ground, landing on it and walking.

L: Blubby smiles as Tempo chooses to walk instead of swimming, and not yet realizing they need air, simply continues on with them.

G: He doesn't really show any signs of it. Though the occasional small twitch in his chest and light moans of discomfort gave hints to his current air supply. He didn't want to leave, especially not when near such a beautiful ocean sight.

L: With those subtle moans, Blubby realizes Tempo is in need of air. "Don't push yourself. Here." He opens his mouth a little, and a large bubble expands from it, growing to the size of Tempo's head, and Blubby holds it out to them.

G: He would look over and nod, holding the bubble and taking in a few deep breaths. It's fresh enough to let him fill his lungs with another full breath, thankfully, and he would give what he didn't use back to the dragon.

L: Blubby sucks the remainder of the bubble back in, then nods back. "I can make more of those than you'd think, don't worry."

G: "Hm..." He does seem curious. "...are you an aquatic dragon, by any chance?"

L: "I'm not. Don't really know why I can make those bubbles, or hold my breath so long. I just can."

G: "I wonder..." He tilts his head... A curious dragon, indeed. And he can't even swim... Tempo kept on trecking across the sandy floor, eventually kicking off and swimming again, slightly above Blubby for a better look at the ocean floor...

"...Hey, Blubby... I think I see something deeper in the water."

L: "Oh, nice! Let's go see what it is!" Blubby starts walking in the direction Tempo is looking.

G: Tempo leads the way, swimming faster than the dragon could walk. At least a little, so as to lead him towards what he found.

And what a strange find. A set of stairs leading underground to some kind of structure.

L: Blubby wags his tail as he sees the stairs. "Do you wanna go explore down there?"

G: Tempo ponders for a bit as he lands on his paws, again. "...I think we should. It would be interesting, wouldn't it?"

L: "I bet it will!" Blubby happily gets onto the stairs, wondering what sort of things might be waiting for him and Tempo.

G: With some decently-filled lungs, he would walk down the stairs, curious as to what's hiding.

L: The stairs go for a little while, until they even out at a fairly big room that makes it clear this is an old temple of some kind! Blubby looks around at all the decorations, some of which are still in fairly good condition.

G: Tempo looks around curiously, himself. While it is dark, Tempo's musical note charm helps out by glowing, giving some light. Not as helpful as a flashlight, but it helps.

L: Blubby only now notices that Tempo's charm is glowing, and he looks closer at it. "That's cool, how's it doing that?"

G: "...I'm... not sure. It's not as impressive as the heart bubble one, admittedly. But having a light helps." He lets out a small cloud of air. "...I should probably stay quiet for a bit..."

L: Wanting to save air for now, Blubby keeps quiet too. He gestures toward a side passage and starts heading down it.

G: Tempo nods and follows him down it, keeping an eye out for anything interesting... or dangerous.

L: There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of either right now, though there's occasional rooms off to the sides which Blubby happily explores.

G: Tempo takes the rooms that Blubby didn't enter. To help speed things up.

Although eventually he swims to the dragon with a cute little pleading expression. He needs a breath.

L: With a nod, Blubby blows out another big bubble for Tempo to breathe from. At this point, there's a visible blue tint just above the base of his horns, which wasn't there before.

G: Tempo grabs a breath from it, eventually giving it back. Although the horns did catch his eyes... Admittedly, he thought it's just a trick of the light, so he ignores it.

L: Blubby takes in what's left of the bubble, and continues the exploration, hoping that there'll actually be something interesting somewhere in the temple.

G: Hopefully there is. It doesn't look like anyone else came here before, so something must be hidden...

Maybe some treasure? Or something magical?

...just hopefully it's not a trap...

L: As he's checking another room, Blubby finds... A chest! "Oh! Tempo, come here, I found something!" He excitedly wags his tail.

G: "Hm?" Tempo quickly swims on over to the room he enters. He seems curious about what's inside, but would let Blubby do the honors...

L: Blubby tries to open the chest, but it's locked... Of course, with how old it is, Blubby just yanks the lid entirely off without issue. The chest is about halfway filled with gold!

G: Tempo lets out a few bubbles in amazement... There's so much of it, but it would be difficult to bring it out...

...Tempo's chest begins to cave a little bit. But with Blubby having literal hours, he feels like they could get away with exploring more of the temple...

L: "Maybe we could move this to the entrance room for now, and bring it out later?" Blubby starts trying to drag the chest, and with some effort he does get it moving.

G: Tempo nods as he helps Blubby push the chest. Though the pushing drains some of his breath, and he eventually needs Blubby's help.

L: Seeing Tempo needing air again, Blubby blows him another bubble, a bit smaller this time so Tempo shouldn't need to pass any back.

G: He takes it, using it all up so that he can focus on pushing onward. Thankfully, they didn't travel too far in...

L: Eventually, the chest is brought close to the entrance, and Blubby decides to take a bit of time to rest after all that effort, laying down next to the chest.

G: Tempo smiles, looking over to Blubby and eventually sitting right next to him, a few bubbles escaping him.

L: Blubby smiles and lays his head on Tempo's lap, closing his eyes. The blue part on Blubby's horns is slightly higher than before, and with such a good view it's clear that it's not just the lighting.

G: Tempo blinks a few times. Now he can notice it... "...Your horns are... changing color. Are they? should... I be worried?"

L: "Oh, forgot to tell you about that. They turn blue as I hold my breath, and them being fully blue means I'm at my limit. Don't know why it happens."

G: "So... This is about..." He takes a look at the horns a bit closer. Although he couldn't really see clearly how much was left. "I'm sure there's something about you... It seems special for you to have all these aquatic adaptations. Minus... the inability to swim..."

L: "I wish I knew where all this came from. My parents said I might not have hatched with all that, it was a few days before I made my first bubble."

G: "I can't say I know any way to help... But... I would at least want to try." He smiles, letting out some more bubbles of his own. "...mm..."

L: "That'd be great, thanks! I really want to figure this out someday... Alright, how about we get back to exploring for now?"

G: He nods in response, getting up and entering the temple...

"H-Hey... Are you sure... we should go in... without a n-new breath...?"

L: "I still feel pretty much fine... But yeah, we should play this safe and go get some fresh air for once." Blubby starts heading back to the temple's entrance.

G: Tempo would follow.

Admittedly, it would take a while to get back up for Blubby... Tempo would even try surfacing and bringing back down breaths for the dragon to see if that'll help.

L: While Blubby does accept the air Tempo gives him, the blue part on his horns hardly moves. "Thanks, but that won't do much. My lungs, apparently, are bigger on the inside."

G: "Mm..." He nods in response, anyway, quickly swimming up to the surface for another breath and coming back down. "It was worth a shot..."

L: Eventually, Blubby and Tempo are nearing the surface again, with Blubby's horns just about a fifth of the way blue.

G: It's surprising to see just how filled they were. He's curious about why this happens about as much as Blubby is.

L: Once he's able to get his head above the water, Blubby exhales his huge breath, and the blue on his horns recedes until it disappears as he pants a little.

G: Tempo takes one last breath of his own before swimming back to the temple with the dragon. Though he would surface so they could save the few minutes of breath from the dragon. If they're going deeper, it's best to keep as much air as possible.

L: Once they've both returned to the temple again, they go down a different path since they'd pretty much finished off the first one.

G: There weren't any rooms down this path, but it leads quite deep into the strange temple. He's not sure how big this is, but maybe getting that breath was smart...

L: "Man, this goes really far down... I'm so excited to see what's gonna be at the deepest part!"

G: "Wonder if it's more treasure. Or something else..." He looks curious, even though he's the weaker holder of the two.

L: After several more minutes of descending, the temple finally levels out again. "Think this might be it..."

G: "A-At least, it's the start of another floor... Mm..." Tempo ignores the burn in his lungs, continuing onward down the temple.

L: Shortly after the two enter the next room, Blubby freezes up as a tile he steps on sinks in some... Behind them, a stone slab slams down, blocking the way back!

G: Tempo squeaks in fear as he hears it, gripping his neck suddenly. "Mmgh... Mblm..."

L: Blubby swim-runs to the slab and pushes on it, thinking it might fall, but nothing happens. "C-crap, crap! Now what!?"

G: "I-I don't... mgh... kn-know... Wait... M-Maybe..." He sees a hole in the wall, big enough to fit his arm...

His cheeks are a deep red.

L: Following where Tempo is looking, Blubby sees the hole as well. "Oh, maybe something in there might help! I think I'm too big to reach in there though..."

G: Tempo nods. The sooner they get out of here, the better, so he doesn't get a breath from Blubby...

Even though he desperately needs one...

Reaching in, he tries to find some kind of switch...

...then something wraps around his arm, preventing him from pulling it out! "Mmgh... N-Ngbl... I'm- I- Mgbl..." He holds his free paw against his mouth, using the webbing to stop water from reaching it.

L: "T-tempo, you're gonna drown!" Blubby quickly blows another big bubble and awkwardly grabs it with his paws, holding it close to Tempo so they can breathe it.

G: He takes it in, nodding in response. "...Listen, I... I'll be fine if I drown. If you're getting too desperate for air, just ignore me..." He says, still trying to get his arm out of the hole...

L: "Wh... D-don't talk like that, of course I'm not gonna just let you drown!" Blubby, of course, doesn't know the ability of the other charm on Tempo's necklace, and starts trying to help him get his arm out.

G: It's too difficult to, unfortunately. "M-Maybe something else releases this. Trust me on this, OK? It'll still hurt... but I have something to help me... And I'm not sure if I can disable this from here..."

L: "...O-okay, this isn't something you'd insist on if it wasn't true. I'm gonna try to go find the opposite side!" Blubby runs off down a nearby hall.

G: Tempo attempts to wait as patiently as possible. But as the minutes tick by, his panic would come back as he wishes that he could breathe water... Desperately, he grabs his diving knife and chips against the wall, seeing if he can break it enough to reach what's keeping his arm captive...

L: Blubby is still searching for any way to help, slowly getting closer to panicking as he thinks about what Tempo must be going through without him...

G: Panic is rushing through his mind, thinking he will drown... He drops his knife, holding his mouth as a cloud of bubbles leaves him. "Mm... Mm... Mmgbl..."

L: While muffled, Blubby's voice can be heard. "Tempo, are you here? I think I'm on the other side, but whatever this is is IN the wall! Th-there's a bigger hole here, I'll try to help!" Tempo would be able to hear the dragon rummaging in the wall.

G: "H-Hu-" Before he could speak, he would suddenly gasp water! "HLK! GLK... GLBRLABLBLBL!" He cries out painfully as he knocks against the wall.

L: Even not being able to see him, Blubby knows what that gurgling means. "T-TEMPO!" He frantically digs around in the wall, trying to free them, and while he's still not sure of what was holding them, he does get them loose.

G: Tempo couldn't feel his arm get loose. He's free, but he's too numb to everything from drowning to even notice it. His vision is darkening as his gasps slowed and his body grew limp. "...bl... gb... m..."

L: Thankfully knowing the way back to Tempo, Blubby starts running back to him, but it'll still take a bit of time to get there.

G: By the time he made it back, he's unconscious, eyes half-lidded and vacant. His cheeks are a deep blue as he floats...

L: Blubby almost panics, but remembers what Tempo had told him. Still, he doesn't want to leave them behind, and pulls their drowned body onto his back as he resumes looking for a way out.

G: He would stay drowned for a while, but soon some more bubbles leave him, and he would wake up on the dragon's back. "Mmgbl... Mmf..." Tempo looks around, seeing they're still stuck in the ruins...

L: Feeling movement on him, Blubby jumps a little, and is deeply confused to see that Tempo seems perfectly fine! "...H-how did... Wait, earlier you said that heart bubble thing did something..."

G: Admittedly, his lungs still hurt as if they were still filled with water. But the pain would fade away. "Sorry... Yeah, that's what my heart bubble does... But from what I can tell, it usually takes an hour when I drown to reawaken... So... let's hurry."

L: "Y-yeah, it's been a long time..." Blubby's horns are about a third of the way blue, all the stress and fear having made him use up a lot more oxygen than he normally would.

G: "...Nothing, so far?" Tempo asks, knowing the answer, already... And with the horns already turning so blue, he's worried Blubby will drown. And for all he knows, the dragon doesn't have a fancy revival ability.

L: Blubby shakes his head. "There has to be a way though, the people that lived here wouldn't risk sealing themselves in..."

G: "You're right... But this place feels like a maze. Whoever made this clearly wanted any invaders to drown."

L: "Definitely... But we can't give up." The search for any kind of escape route continues, with Blubby gradually getting more nervous over time.

G: Tempo, too, eyeing the dragon's horns as time passes...

And as Tempo's lungs force more air out of Blubby... How big is this place? Are there any other traps?

L: Too soon, Blubby's horns are two thirds blue, and his chest starts heaving from his need to breathe. "D-damn it, this stupid temple is huge... C-come on already..."

G: With the strain he can see from the dragon, he knows they're in a tight spot. "Mmf..." Tempo checks the areas carefully, hoping something could trigger a way out.

L: Blubby rubs along the walls as he walks, looking for some kind of secret switch or something. While it's fruitless so far, he keeps trying, knowing there's a decent chance it'll work.

G: It has to work! There has to be something! Tempo checks every suspicious wall, trying to find a hidden door. Some kind of air pocket. Anything. Air. "Mgbl... Mmgh..."

L: Eventually, one of the wall tiles sinks in some, and the section of wall next to it opens, revealing stairs leading up! Eyes going wide, Blubby immediately runs in and starts climbing the stairs.

G: Tempo looks over and looks relieved! And soon, he quickly swims up the stairs... Finally, they might make it out...!

L: It's still a long way up, but there doesn't seem to be anything stopping the two. After a few minutes and another false wall being opened with a much more obvious switch, they seem to be back on the first floor again.

G: They're back up... He looks to Blubby, checking in on him again. "Mm... mmfh..."

L: Blubby whines some, his horns three quarters blue. The bubbles leaving his nostrils are getting a bit bigger than normal, the dragon seemingly starting to lose control over the size of them.

G: They gotta surface soon.

But suddenly Tempo squeaks as he sees something out of the ordinary...

"WAIT, Don't- GMMBBL..." He calls out, while his chest runs out of air and his cheeks turn a purple hue.

L: Not seeing anything particularly noteworthy, but knowing better at this point, Blubby immediately stops where he is, even keeping a paw off the floor. Nervously looking back at Tempo, he blows out yet another bubble for them, for what it's worth at this point.

G: He takes a breath, as he looks down at the ground.

He can easily tell there are pressure plates. he just hopes Blubby can keep calm enough to avoid them... He would rather not trap him any longer than needed.

L: Blubby looks down and quickly notices them himself, his raised paw even directly above one! Trying his best to not freak out, he carefully does his best to step between the plates and avoid them, though his steps are a little shaky from both fear and his need to breathe.

G: Tempo's heart is pounding, too... They were so close to the end! And yet one mistake could mean... He tried to calm the dragon down, so he can focus on the task at hand and not the need for air...

L: With a nervous smile at Tempo, Blubby thankfully gets past all the pressure plates without issue, though there were a couple close calls. Constantly scanning the floor, he starts making his way to where the entrance hopefully is.

G: Tempo bubbles out some air, swimming off the dragon and checking what's outside the next door. Hopefully it's a way out, as he'd rather not drown again...

L: The two are back in the entrance room! Apparently they'd missed a third hall, this one that they were coming from. Blubby quickly heads for the stairs up, starting to get a bit of a purple blush.

G: Tempo looks scared... but then he sees something sliding on the top of the stairs! Is it... closing? "Mmgbl! Mm!!!" He swims up to them, looking for something to stop it from closing...

L: "MMM!" Blubby starts rushing up the stairs, frantically trying to outpace the exit being closed off, but he's not really sure he'll make it in time...

G: It does end up closing, trapping them inside!

"...mm..." And Tempo looks worried... What now!? This was their only escape route!

There has to be something to release this one, right? It's the main entrance, after all!

L: Blubby is right on the verge of panicking, and starts scratching on the walls of the staircase, trying to find something, ANYTHING that will help!

G: Tempo paws against the door blocking their way out! A small cloud of bubbles leaves his mouth, again, stopping him suddenly for a few moments... "Mmgbl..."

L: As much as his body doesn't really want him to, Blubby blows out another bubble for Tempo, though it likely won't be very much help at this point.

G: He would take it in, and while it helps him, he feels bad for taking so much from him. He needs to make this quick...

He thinks he feels some kind of panel, so he attempts to open it... Just hopefully...

L: With only about 15% of his horns still their normal color, Blubby helps pull at the panel to force it open, which is managed before too long. The dragon then whines and leans down to cover his muzzle...

G: He looks at how little air the poor dragon had... He doesn't even remember how far the surface is! And worse, the dragon needed to walk up to it!

Tempo searches around the panel, seeing what seems to be a crank.

turning it would cause it to slowly open... Very slowly...

L: Seeing the door just starting to open, Blubby shoves his paws under it and tries to push it upward so it'll open faster. It does speed up a little at least.

G: But it's still slow to open... Tempo tries to go as fast as he could, suddenly letting out another small cloud of bubbles as his chest heaved. "Mmgh!"

L: Wanting to save what's left of his air until Tempo really needs it, Blubby doesn't give them a bubble yet, still pushing the door up as hard as he can.

G: The otter whimpers, his chest hurting more as he kept turning the crank. It's agonizingly slow, and it's forcing him to use air to put more effort into it...

It's slowly but surely opening, but Tempo nearly gasps water, stopping him from moving the crank!

L: Blubby finally blows out a bubble for Tempo, using up even more of the stale air he has left, and he grabs the crank to start moving it himself, thinking he might get it to go faster than Tempo can manage.

G: Tempo breathes it in, looking as Blubby uses his strength to turn the crank. It's going faster than when Tempo opened it, but just barely! The otter attempts to help by pulling against the cover like Blubby did!

It's slowly opening enough to free the two. Just a bit more to go!

L: All the effort is using up Blubby's dwindling oxygen faster, and as his horns become 90% blue, his blush starts to turn blue as well. He whimpers, and involuntarily glubs out a big bubble he quickly sucks back in.

G: Is the dragon gonna drown...? Tempo's worried, especially since it must be painful for him to be so low on air. With such a long breath time... He tries to ignore his worries, especially since his lungs also need a fresher breath than what the stale bubbles could supply...

L: Blubby's lungs feel like they're on fire, and it's just getting worse over time, but he forces himself to keep going. Finally, the door is lifted enough for him to get under it, and he starts trying to squeeze through.

G: Tempo follows him through, glad that they managed to get out... but they're not out of the woods yet! They still need to surface!

The otter didn't want to leave the dragon's side. He stayed down, even if it means drowning!

L: Desperate, Blubby at first instinctively tries to swim up, but simply jumps off the bottom and sinks back down, proving he can't swim. With only one option, Blubby starts running for the shore.

G: Tempo helps by pushing him along, in some attempt to speed along! Then Tempo suddenly coughs out more bubbles and lets go, sinking to the ground! "Mmfh... Mm... mmgbl..." He's a deep blue, on the verge of taking a gasp of water!

L: Even if at this point it might mean dooming himself to take in some water, Blubby blows yet another bubble for Tempo to breathe. Without waiting for them to do so, he resumes running along the seabed, his horns now almost entirely blue and bubbles now constantly dribbling from his quivering lips...

G: He takes it in, attempting to siphon whatever fresh air was left innthe bubble. "Mm... Mmfgh..." Tempo's squirms slowed a little, but it's clear that he needs fresh air as much as Blubby does. The otter refuses to surface, however, swimming up to the dragon's head and holding a paw on it. Hopefully to stave off a fatal gasp.

L: That does at least reduce the loss of air, but Blubby is closing in on his limit, nearly constantly whining as his body trembles while he runs. The surface is getting closer, but so is the moment Blubby runs out of breath...

G: Tempo silently encourages Blubby to keep going. However, his encouragement's slowly faltering as his breath also ran out. Even as the surface is within a quick swim away, he refused to leave Blubby alone.

L: With only the tips of his horns not blue now, Blubby's eyes go wide as he realizes he's about to breathe. While he tries his best to ignore that and keep moving, that's quickly getting harder to do.

G: Especially after Tempo lets loose another cloud of bubbles, sucking in water when he did. "Hlk! GLK!"

L: Too occupied with his own struggle, Blubby doesn't notice Tempo. He stops, shuddering all over as his horns go fully blue and he's forced to exhale, purging all his remaining air into a bubble twice his size before water rushes into him! "HUU-GKH! GLGLK!"

G: Tempo whimpers and cries out, gasping water painfully as he sees the dragon take in water, himself! And the surface is so close, too...! He crawls along the sea floor, unable to swim due to the pain from drowning...

L: Blubby gurgles in pain as he resumes running along the seabed, getting closer and closer to the surface as helping Tempo doesn't occur to him. He sucks in more water than he coughs out, starting to fill the huge interior of his lungs.

G: The otter hopes Blubby can at least make it. He's used to breathing water, himself, but it's still hard to move and stay awake. His vision is slowly fading, limbs shaking with each push.

L: Likely due to a natural toughness from being a dragon, Blubby doesn't seem to be weakening yet. That endurance lets him finally reach the surface, and after a gargled gasp, a torrent of water starts flowing from his maw as he starts trying to clear his lungs.

G: Tempo barely makes it, coughing out and gasping, getting rid of the water he breathed in from his desperation. His lungs were smaller, but they still burn and hurt. "gah... h-hah... hah... hoh..."

L: The blue on Blubby's horns is receding back down as he catches his breath, finally getting all the water out. His sore lungs do still make him cough every now and then, but he looks at Tempo and gives him a weak smile. "S-sorry I was sort of... L-leaving you..."

G: Tempo barely responds, still coughing to get what small bits of water out of his lungs. "Ugh... I... It's fine... Y-you were drowning... plus... I-I didn't wanna leave you..."

L: "A-at least you would've been fine... M-man, we'll have to go back for that chest at some point... But we should rest for now."

G: "...I'll help out... You think drowning... many times would make it easier to deal with..."

L: "I can't imagine that's something anyone can get used to... Wait, you've drowned a lot before?"

G: "Too much... I'm not exactly... lucky when it comes to water quite a bit of the time... Guess I'm too curious about water, heh..."

L: "There's definitely been a few times I nearly drowned, too. Not being able to swim really isn't worth a 6 hour breath hold sometimes."

G: "I... can totally understand that. If only you were able to..."

L: "It's technically possible, but only in certain places, brine pools deep in the ocean. They're the only places I can swim."

G: "That's... You can survive going that deep? I mean... This charm that helps me also makes me able to go to even the deepest parts of the ocean..."

L: "I can't go a whole lot deeper than that before there starts being issues, but yeah, don't need any kind of protection. We should hang out in a brine pool someday!"

G: "It sounds fun. Never really decided to try swimming in one, honestly... Even if I'm immune, I can reach it on my own."

L: "Well, my bubbles would certainly make it possible for you. Wouldn't be able to stay for more than maybe an hour, but it'd still be fun!"

G: "It's a good opportunity, at least. But... maybe it's good to take a break from the water, for now."

L: "Yeah, we should call it a day... I don't think my lungs would appreciate more breath holding so soon after having water in them."

G: "Even if my lungs have dealt with water in them for a while."

"I don't think I should put them through with it again, so soon."

L: Blubby lays down on the sand. "Think I could use a nap as well, to be honest. We can get that chest some other time."

G: "I'll rest with you. I think we both need it..."

L: "Feel free to lay against me, I don't mind." Blubby sets his head down onto the sand, closing his eyes.

G: Tempo smiles. "Thanks." Soon, he would lie down and rest on the dragon, falling asleep soon after.

L: Blubby soon falls asleep as well, exhausted from all the effort of holding his breath so long.
